• End-to-End Shopify Delivery: Receive client tasks/briefs, plan the approach, execute, QA, and deliver — independently. • Custom Theme Development: Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript. Deep expertise in Shopify's theme architecture is non-negotiable. • Shopify App & Integration Work: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Shopify apps. Build custom solutions using Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, Functions). • Store Performance & Optimization: Ensure stores are fast, conversion-optimized, and follow Shopify best practices. • Client Task Management: Manage your own pipeline of tasks. Prioritize, communicate status, flag blockers — like a true lead. • Team Guidance (Future): As we grow, mentor junior developers and review their work.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years hands-on Shopify development (not just WordPress or general web dev)
- Expert-level Liquid templating — you dream in Liquid
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (vanilla + jQuery)
- Proven experience building and customizing Shopify 2.0 themes from scratch
- Working knowledge of Shopify APIs: Admin, Storefront, Checkout Extensions, Shopify Functions
- Experience with Shopify app integrations (payments, shipping, reviews, subscriptions, etc.)
- Git version control — you use it daily, not occasionally
- Ability to independently manage tasks: understand a brief, ask the right questions, deliver on time
