Impact Communications Associate Director

• Advance GoodPower’s work in accelerating a renewable energy economy • Ensure effective communication of wins to network, funders, partners, and media • Translate work into compelling stories and data • Spearhead communications across various audiences • Tailor strategies and messages for each audience • Develop creative, visual ways to demonstrate GoodPower's impact • Manage funder communications including newsletters and webinars • Support media and public relations efforts to amplify GoodPower’s impact • Collaborate with various teams to ensure cohesive messaging

Job Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in impact communications, including funder engagement or media and public relations, preferably in the political or renewable energy field.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Creative approaches to communicating impact
  • Ability to adapt tone based on audiences
  • Awareness of and ability to communicate economic impacts, drivers and motivators of the renewable energy transition
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize inputs from multiple teams into cohesive narratives
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate closely across departments
  • Competency in utilizing CRMs (Salesforce), web platforms (WordPress) and design tools (Canva)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and creativity
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
  • Demonstrated competence in managing complex projects
  • Proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented with a commitment to innovation.
