• Execute and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations • Responsible for the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules • Maintain disciplined documentation to support historical accuracy and audit readiness • Prepare audit schedules, respond to audit requests, and support audit process • Make sure accounting practices align with GAAP (and IFRS where applicable) and internal policies • Support royalty accounting, reporting, and reconciliations for licensing and publishing arrangements including partnering with Legal and Finance to ensure royalty obligations are accurately recorded and supported • Provide senior-level oversight and support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities • Responsible for payroll preparation and payroll-related filings, accounting entries and reconciliations as needed • Responsible for all sales tax matters including proper accounting for taxable transactions and ensuring proper reporting to taxing authorities. • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, close efficiency, and internal controls • Partner closely with the Head of Accounting on day-to-day financial operations and priorities

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting audits and working directly with external auditors
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with deep understanding of debits, credits, and GAAP
  • Proven ownership of close-related activities and reconciliations
  • Experience supporting AP/AR functions
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable under deadlines
  • Collaborative, pragmatic communicator who works well in lean environments
