Power BI Reporting Analyst

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, operational reports, and datasets. • Build reports that connect directly to SQL Server views and stored procedures for real-time or near real-time operational insights. • Create efficient data models (Star Schema or Snowflake) optimized for performance and scalability. • Develop and validate DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and visualizations following best practices. • Collaborate with business users to translate reporting needs into actionable analytics solutions. • Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage user access within Power BI Service. • Support data validation, performance tuning, and report optimization activities. • Develop semantic models and standardized datasets for self-service and reusable analytics.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in developing Power BI reports and data models.
  • Proven experience in SQL Server based operational reporting environments.
  • Hands-on experience with views, stored procedures, and optimized SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Fabric, or other cloud data platforms preferred.

Role Description This position functions as a Strategic Account BI Developer assigned to the Casey Eye Institute (CEI), supporting clinical analytics and operational reporting priorities under a collaborative MOU between CEI and BIAA. Positioned at the confluence, where the business of patient care meets the need for insights and data driven decisions, this role provides the opportunity to use data analysis and development skills to improve the health and well-being of Oregonians and beyond. Qualifications - Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; - OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; - OR Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and seven years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; - OR Eight years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; - OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
