LITIT
• Support user research activities such as surveys, interviews, and basic analysis to understand user needs. • Assist in creating personas, user journeys, wireframes, and simple prototypes. • Participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions with the team. • Help designers and developers ensure designs are implemented correctly. • Contribute to designing user interfaces with attention to usability and consistency. • Collaborate with team members across design, product, and development. • Assist in user testing activities and help gather feedback. • Learn and apply UX/UI best practices and design system guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Currently studying or recently graduated in a design-related field, or have gained foundational UX/UI skills through courses.
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles (coursework or personal projects is enough).
- Interest in user-centered design and solving real-world problems.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a team environment.
- Basic familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD (academic or personal use is fine).
- Good communication skills.
- Fluency in English and German (B2 level in both written and spoken German) is required for this role.
- Availability for the full 2-month internship period.

Description The Work: The Human‑Centered Design (HCD) Lead will guide user‑focused design strategy for large‑scale DoD platform build and modernization efforts. This role ensures systems are intuitive, accessible, and mission‑aligned by embedding user research, UX best practices, and iterative design into the full system development lifecycle. The HCD Lead will work closely with engineering, product, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet operational, security, and usability requirements. Job Location: Although this position is remote, the candidate needs to live in the Washington DC metro area.
