DevOps Engineer, AWS Expert
Optiveum
• Design, develop, and manage infrastructure using Terraform with AWS services. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other tools to enable efficient deployment processes. • Manage AWS resources, including VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, ECS, and Kubernetes. • Apply 'shift-left' security practices, integrating security into the development lifecycle and enforcing security standards and frameworks. • Build, manage, and orchestrate containers using Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes. • Develop and automate scripts in Python and Shell for operational tasks and infrastructure maintenance. • Implement monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance; optimize infrastructure for cost and efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Relevant AWS certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, with hands-on experience.
- Solid understanding of network architecture, VPNs, routing, and DNS in cloud environments.
- Network security and Identity Access Management (IAM).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and benchmarks.
- Experience with CI/CD and GitOps principles.
- Proficiency in Terraform.
- Skilled in Docker, with hands-on experience with ECS and Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Proficient in Python and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with basic database management.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
