Role Description Sight Machine is in search of a Senior User Experience Researcher to join our rapidly growing team. This talented individual will play a critical role in bringing delight and engagement to our products. In this role, you will work collaboratively with product, engineering, design and other stakeholders to guide the planning, execution and broadcasting of user experience research. - Lead the research process - Conduct user interviews - Map user journeys - Synthesize findings - Make strategic decisions on feature development and product enhancements - Create plans to assess the effectiveness of design projects, iterative product launches, and feature updates We are looking for a passionate, experienced researcher who is comfortable operating at a strategic level. • Conduct systematic competitor and market research across SaaS, subscription, and freemium products — analyzing user flows, paywalls, onboarding funnels, and conversion patterns. • Mine quantitative data from analytics tools (Mixpanel, Microsoft Clarity, GrowthBook) to identify drop-off points, attention gaps, and underperforming screens. • Analyze heatmaps, session recordings, and attention data to surface CRO opportunities. • Deliver 10–15 experiment ideas per week, each scored using the ICE framework (Impact × Confidence × Ease) with a target threshold of 500+. • Write clear, testable hypotheses with defined success/failure criteria and primary metrics. • Create low-to-mid fidelity wireframes (AI Tools) to communicate test variants — clear enough for developers and stakeholders to act on. • Develop user personas, journey maps, and usability assessments specific to our funnel stages (Landing → Start → Quiz → Analyzing → Email Capture → Checkout). • Present insights and recommendations in twice-weekly Growth team brainstorming sessions. • Analyze post-test results and extract reusable patterns for the team's knowledge base. • Stay current on CRO, behavioral psychology, and SaaS conversion trends.
