Role Description KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Project Scheduler with experience in transmission line and utility infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure successful planning and execution of transmission and distribution (T&D) projects. - Develop and maintain baseline and detailed project schedules for transmission line and substation projects - Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Teams to define scope, sequencing, and durations - Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance vs. planned timelines - Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies - Perform schedule analysis, including float analysis, what-if scenarios, and resource loading - Support project reporting, including schedule status updates, dashboards, and executive summaries - Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on milestones, outages, and construction sequencing - Ensure compliance with client standards, contract requirements, and scheduling best practices - Maintain proper documentation of schedule changes, assumptions, and constraints Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) - 3–7+ years of scheduling experience, preferably in transmission line, utility, or infrastructure projects - Strong experience with Primavera P6 (preferred) or Microsoft Project - Solid understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling - Experience supporting T&D projects (overhead/underground transmission lines, substations) - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Requirements - Experience working with utility companies or EPC contractors - Familiarity with outage coordination and work sequencing in live utility environments - Knowledge of resource loading and cost-loaded schedules - PMP or PSP certification is a plus Benefits - Anticipated Hourly Range: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour Company Description KDG Construction Consulting is a leading provider of program, project, and construction management services.
