Role Description We are seeking a Squad Leader to lead one development team within a global e-commerce platform. This role involves direct collaboration with the client’s director, ensuring effective communication and project delivery. - Lead teams of software developers and ensure that they are working collaboratively towards common goals, having developers from different vendors involved; - Facilitate Agile Kanban / Scrum methodology for the team, including organizing releases, daily stand-ups, retrospectives; - Ensure that the team is delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget and desired requirements; - Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members to help them achieve their goals and improve their performance; - Work closely with the product team and other stakeholders to ensure that the team is delivering value to the business, managing dependencies across teams; - Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the team's ability to deliver on time and within budget; - Create a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement; - Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and open communication within the team and with other stakeholders; - Ensure that the team is following best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, security and continuous integration and deployment. Qualifications - Strong experience with software development and Scrum Squad Leader or Scrum Master; - Deep understanding of Agile principles and the Kanban framework; - Proven track record of leading successful software development projects and delivering high-quality products on time and within budget; - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members; - Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks that may impact project success; - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; - Experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA; - Fluent English. POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Research Finance, supports the day-to-day operations and fiscal management of grants and contracts according to the terms and conditions of the sponsor. Ensure all grant accounts are in good standing. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Directly supervise and coordinate the work activity of assigned several RFAs. - Oversee sponsored projects related financial transactions informed by all internal and external compliance regulations and policies. - Maintain regular communication with departments/programs. - Initiate and guide operational improvements to support the faculty and departments in their research related endeavors. - Identify training gaps and lead training and education meetings for RFAs and Department Research Administrators. Drive BMC research administration education and training to both internal and external groups. - Manage continuous development and integration of function across Research Finance and General Accounting. - Provide oversight and review of sponsored financial reporting at the department. Mediate financial challenges and communicate fiscally responsible behaviors to research community. - Mentor RFAs in their communication with sponsor and BMC contacts for problem resolution and information gathering. - Maintain continuous development and knowledge in research administration through conferences and other means of education. - Oversight of account reconciliations, effort reporting, closeouts and aging Sponsored AR. - Oversight and review of orientation/training sessions with new principal investigators and administrators and others to ensure mutual understanding of grant and contract requirements, as well as BMC policies. - Facilitate the innovation and streamlining of Research Operations processes.
