Job Responsibilities - Execute/generate CPSR-compliant purchase orders based on approved requisitions, requests for proposals, bids and other similar and necessary documents related to the purchasing of services and materials - Perform a variety of general tactical duties as required to support purchasing activities. - Follow through on any supplier changes (Engineering Change Notices). - Communicate supplier performance. - May assist in negotiations and apply basic knowledge of commercial contract law and guidelines, practices and requirements to assess, plan and negotiate best terms and conditions and to minimize risk. - Maintain sound professional relationships with suppliers. Resolve issues (e.g. pricing, quality, timing, claims, contract disputes, etc.) associated with terms and conditions of service agreements. - Understand demand/spend profile for commodity areas, and provide this information as necessary. - Track and report cost savings or avoidances. - Maintain current accurate records and files of all vendor agreements and related procurement records. - Manage any supplier issues (i.e., cost, quality, delivery, customer service). - Serve as the primary contact between DRS personnel and assigned suppliers Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years of experience in government purchasing. - Ability to understand military specs and read blue prints. - Ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement, contracts, breach by contract, etc. - Knowledge of price and cost analysis. - Good negotiating skills. - Located in Melbourne, FL or Huntsville, AL is a plus. • Assist with day-to-day P2P transactions, including purchase requisition reviews, PO creation, supplier record updates, and invoice exception resolution. • Monitor P2P workflow queues and support timely escalation of blocked invoices or delayed approvals. • Help analyze supplier spend, invoice trends, and cycle times to identify bottlenecks or improvement opportunities. • Update and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps for P2P workflows. • Document current-state processes through interviews, shadowing sessions, and system walkthroughs. • Support development of training materials, job aids, FAQs, and internal communication content. • Support process improvement initiatives related to automation, compliance, data quality, or system enhancements. • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring P2P issues (e.g., invoice mismatches, supplier setup delays, approval bottlenecks). • Assist the team with testing new system features, validating data, and providing feedback during UAT cycles. • Assist with supplier onboarding, collection of documentation, profile updates, and validation of vendor information. • Provide support to internal stakeholders by answering basic P2P process questions and troubleshooting common issues. • Help track and follow up with teams on open actions, missing documentation, or outstanding approvals.

• Develop and execute global/regional commodity strategies for aerospace hardware and fasteners (bolts, nuts, screws, inserts, pins, specialty hardware, etc.) • Lead should-cost modeling, VA/VE initiatives, and cost reduction roadmaps across active programs • Drive standardization, part rationalization, and preferred hardware lists to reduce complexity and total cost of ownership • Select, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers in alignment with quality, delivery, and cost objectives • Lead contract negotiations, long-term agreements (LTAs), and pricing strategies • Monitor supplier performance (OTD, quality, cost) and implement corrective actions as needed • Collaborate with suppliers on capacity planning, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives • Partner with Engineering to influence design-for-cost, design-for-manufacturability, and hardware selection decisions • Support Manufacturing and Operations with supply continuity, demand forecasting, and escalation management • Work with Quality to ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA/EASA, and customer-specific requirements • Align sourcing strategies with Program Management to support schedule, cost, and performance targets • Ensure sourcing decisions comply with aerospace standards, export controls, and internal policies • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to single-source suppliers, long lead times, and capacity constraints • Support audits and regulatory reviews as required • Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity improvements • Maintain accurate spend analytics and commodity dashboards • Drive process improvements across sourcing and supplier management activities

This is a full-time position and can be a flex work schedule. This role is remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. but will require extensive travel weekly if not located in the Ogden, UT. Job Summary: Provides Supplier Quality Surveillance at assigned supplier shops. Follows management instructions, project procedures, Corporate Procurement Procedures. Ensures that project is provided with effective surveillance inspection service. Performs supplier surveys to ensure the overall organizational effectiveness among all functions. Responsibilities: - Maintains direct working relationships with Project Management, Project and Field Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Procurement personnel to ensure mutual understanding, development, and attainment of objectives. - Maintains contacts with inspection agency representatives to ensure that their service will conform to standards. - Maintains relationships with supplier’s management personnel for resolution of quality problems as disclosed by surveillance inspection and audit activities and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence. - Performs supplier quality functions to ensure that quality surveillance activities are planned, coordinated, and implemented in a timely and effective manner. Analyzes the effectiveness and of established quality surveillance systems and techniques. Makes improvements when necessary. - Takes direction and management guidance from Project Supplier Quality Lead, Follows project and supplier quality procedures working close with project personnel. - Reviews the project Schedule, performs detailed supplier Hold, Witness and In Process surveillance points, and actual progress of each process point to confirm that materials meet the highest quality standard. Reviews any schedule revisions for impacts and participates in the development of contingency planning. - Works with project SQ and Quality Management, Procurement Representatives, Expediting, and Responsible Engineers. - Monitors suppliers effectiveness of operations to determine that materials and equipment produced by suppliers conform to technical quality requirements of the applicable specifications. - Ensures adherence to Government property control provisions and to ensure implementation of any requirements in this regard with project personnel. - Performs review of Supplier Quality assurance programs. Reviews with Quality personnel at the project regarding suppliers and their quality assurance programs. Reports out to project supplier quality when issues arise. - Exercises authority in conjunction with Project Supplier Quality to require correct action by a supplier to repair (or replace) defective work. - Monitors the performance at supplier’s facilities and submits reports after each supplier visit. Requirements: - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - SQR = 6,000 hours of Inspection experience. - Knowledge of policies, directives, management instructions, and Procurement procedures. - Knowledge of interface relationships with functional groups such as Engineering, Construction, Project Management. - Experience with high degree of skill in Surveillance and Inspection techniques. - Training in Quality, Procurement and Engineering administration, process improvement initiatives, as well as the legal aspects of procurement. - Knowledge of major suppliers equipment and materials used on project. - Possesses multi-project experience performing surveillance, inspection activities. - Possesses Level II Supplier Quality/Inspection certifications for Mechanical, or Electrical, NDE knowledge. Must have at least 8,000 hours of method experience. - Extensive Knowledge of ISO and/or ANSI, 10CFR50 and NQA-1 quality management requirements. - Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, and applicable Agency Supplements. - Understanding of Governmental Contracts and the flow-down of applicable clauses and requirements. - Experience in Government property control. - Knowledge of applicable Government and commercial regulations and practices. - Knowledge of Field Engineering and Construction activities, and knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures related to materials management functions.
