Role Description This is a unique opportunity to lead applied AI initiatives that shape the future of context-first document management and AI-driven information management at scale. We are seeking an experienced AI Team Manager to lead and grow a team of AI engineers and data professionals focused on delivering scalable, production-grade AI capabilities embedded into M-Files products. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strategic execution, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities aligned to business outcomes. Key Responsibilities - AI Strategy & Execution - Translate product and business objectives into an actionable AI roadmap. - Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions in production. - Ensure AI initiatives drive measurable product KPIs and customer value. - Promote best practices in model lifecycle management, evaluation, monitoring, and governance. - Technical Leadership - Provide architectural guidance for AI systems, including LLM integrations, ML pipelines, and cloud-native AI services. - Oversee experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, model validation, performance benchmarking). - Ensure high standards in code quality, reproducibility, security, and scalability. - Drive adoption of MLOps practices and tooling (e.g., MLflow, CI/CD for ML, observability). - Team Leadership & Growth - Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing AI team. - Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning. - Support career development, coaching, and performance management. - Partner with recruiting to attract top AI/ML talent. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Product Managers to prioritize AI investments and align on outcomes. - Collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to ensure seamless AI integration into core product architecture. - Communicate technical strategy and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications - Proven experience leading AI/ML teams in a SaaS or technology environment. - Strong hands-on background in machine learning, applied AI, or data science. - Experience deploying AI solutions to production environments at scale. - Solid understanding of MLOps, cloud platforms, and modern data architectures. - Proficiency in common ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar). - Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear business value narratives. Nice-to-Have - Experience with LLMs and generative AI applications in enterprise environments. - Familiarity with Databricks, MLflow, or similar ML platforms. - Knowledge of SaaS product metrics and PLG strategies. - Experience working in Agile development environments.
