Role Description As a Product Specialist, you'll be the technical expert supporting our clients and partners through every stage of the product experience. SUMMARY The Regional Category Specialist is a product and category expert responsible for driving growth, adoption, and execution of HexArmor’s product portfolio within an assigned region. This role partners closely with Regional Sales Managers, Director of Sales, Marketing, Category and Product Management, and key distribution partners to expand category presence, support new product introductions, and influence end-user and distributor adoption through training, trials, and strategic category insights. LOCATION Primarily working out of a remote home office with expected travel into the region (Central Region). JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Category & Product Leadership - Serve as the regional subject matter expert for Above The Neck (ATN) products (e.g., head protection, eye/face protection, hearing protection). - Support category growth strategies aligned with HexArmor’s regional, national, and global product roadmap. - Act as the voice of the customer and region by collecting competitive insights, usage trends, and unmet needs. - Partner with Product Management and Category Management to support new product launches, pilots, and post-launch adoption. Sales Enablement & Field Support - Work alongside the Regional Sales Managers to drive category penetration and mindshare. - Support key customer calls, plant walk-throughs, PPE assessments, and on-site product trials. - Assist in converting competitive business through product demonstrations, technical comparisons, and value-based selling. - Provide pre- and post-sale technical and application support. Training & Education - Conduct in-person and virtual product training for sales teams, distributors, and end users. - Develop feedback and recommendations to improve training tools, product literature, and sales messaging. - Ensure consistent product positioning and value proposition across the region. Data, Reporting & Collaboration - Track regional category performance, trial activity, and conversion results. - Share insights with Sales Leadership, Product Management, and Marketing. - Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between market needs and internal priorities. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 5+ years of experience in PPE, industrial safety, category management, product management, or technical sales. - Strong understanding of distributor-based sales models. - Experience supporting product launches, trials, or category growth initiatives. - Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region.
