Independence Pet Group
• Identify, cultivate, and secure new national partnerships across the broker and benefits technology landscape, expanding Pets Best’s presence within the employee benefits ecosystem. • Lead the full partnership lifecycle—from opportunity identification to contracting, negotiation of terms, onboarding, and ongoing long-term growth and performance management. • Represent Pets Best at trade shows, broker meetings and industry conferences as required to expand brand awareness and generate new opportunities. • Serve as the primary point of contact for all existing employee benefits channel national/strategic partnerships, delivering exceptional support and strengthening partner engagement. • Provide high-touch, proactive account management, ensuring partners receive timely, responsive, and solutions-oriented day-to-day support. • Develop and execute strategic growth plans to drive employer adoption, increase enrollment, and maximize long-term partnership value. • Support marketing and communications efforts, including benefit communication planning, campaign coordination, partner incentives, and development of customized enablement and marketing materials. • Prepare and present annual stewardship reports and performance insights to demonstrate value, highlight outcomes, and identify opportunities for optimization. • Collaborate cross-functionally with business development, implementation, product, marketing, IT, and client success teams to ensure alignment and deliver a seamless partner experience. • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, tracking partner activity, opportunities, performance metrics, and progress against goals. • Advocate for partner and client needs, providing actionable feedback to internal teams to enhance processes, strengthen relationships, and improve product offerings. • Drive partner satisfaction and retention, reinforcing Pets Best as a trusted, long-term strategic partner within the employee benefits channel.
Job Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in partnership management, account management, or sales within the employee benefits, benefits technology, voluntary benefits, or broker ecosystem.
- Ability to travel 20%–40%, depending on business needs.
- Property & Casualty Insurance license, or willingness and ability to obtain one within 105 days of hire.
- Demonstrated success managing national partnerships, including growth, retention, and identifying new partnership opportunities.
- Deep understanding of the employee benefits landscape, including brokers, consultants, and benefit technology platforms.
- Proven track record in relationship-building, delivering high-quality partner experiences, and driving long-term partnership success.
- Strong contracting and negotiation skills, with experience guiding partners through terms, agreements, and long-term strategic alignment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Applicant ideally resides in the eastern half of the United States.

The Account Manager manages inquiries regarding the administration of HealthEquity’s products. They are responsible for building trust and rapport with our valued clients.
