Senior Database Administrator

• Administer, operate, and maintain computerized database systems, including database dictionaries, standards, procedures, file structures, and storage management. • Plan and project long-range requirements for database administration and design in coordination with information systems leadership. • Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex databases in a client/server environment, including access methods, performance optimization, storage allocation, security controls, and documentation. • Perform database quality control, auditing, validation, and programming to ensure data accuracy, integrity, appropriate use, and support systems integration and application development. • Advise users on database access, usage, and data availability across client/server systems. • Apply database technologies, development methodologies, and programming languages (e.g., SQL) to support database and system design.

Job Requirements

  • Five (5) years of progressive experience with database query languages and platforms, including Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL Server, and hands-on expertise with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
  • Experience supporting DoD IT hosting environments, including at least two large-scale projects within enterprise organizations involving the administration, operation, maintenance, and security of databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple operating systems and programming languages in support of database administration, integration, and enterprise system environments.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • IA Level: IAT Level II (DoD 8140/8570 compliant), with one or more of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH.
  • Cloud Certification: One of the following: Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Database Certification: One of the following: Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Certified Professional.
