Financial Analyst
GovCIO
• Monitor and proactively obtain annual budget directives and guidance on behalf of the PL. • Manage data entry into budget tools as directed, including systems and spreadsheets. • Review and pull data from budget tools to create tracking spreadsheets to monitor execution. • Understand differences between and monitor both enhancement and sustainment funding cycles. • Advise and support pursuit of funding for previously unfunded requirements. • Serve as a liaison communicating with budgeting entities outside the PL. • Draft and obtain government approval of presentation materials, reports, memos, and other budget-related correspondence and deliverables. • Support the government budget lead in calculating planned, projected, and actual costs for each phase and build of the project.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, systems, business or related scientific/technical discipline with 8+ years' experience.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) to relay concise messaging and reporting to all levels of management
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision
- Strong analytical and investigation skills crafting solutions to challenging problems or issues
- Strong experience developing presentations and slides for communicating technical and non-technical subjects to both small and large audiences
- Solid experience with Microsoft and other collaborative tools including Teams, SharePoint, Jira, etc.
- Ability to extrapolate and communicate a client’s main challenges and pain points, craft strong solutions, and make recommendations.
- Must be able to identify and mitigate risks to the project, and escalate program risks, as necessary.
