Director of Sales – Environmental Labs
SPL - Southern Petroleum Laboratories
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to consistently exceed revenue and pipeline targets • Translate strategy into clear execution plans, forecasts, and measurable results • Drive pipeline generation, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined opportunity qualification • Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities, key accounts, and strategic growth initiatives • Ensure revenue growth aligns with pricing discipline, profitability, and deal quality standards • Partner with senior leadership to execute go-to-market strategy across environmental testing services (water, wastewater, soil, groundwater, and air) • Develop and implement territory and account strategies to expand compliance, monitoring, and remediation-related business • Build and scale sales processes, pipeline governance, and reporting discipline to support repeatable growth • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and development of a high-performing sales team • Provide ongoing coaching to elevate capabilities in technical and executive-level selling • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and high performance • Partner cross-functionally with laboratory operations, client services, and marketing to align on capabilities and growth initiatives • Provide market insight to strengthen service positioning, regulatory alignment, and client value • Lead the build and scale of a high-performing environmental sales organization across regulated markets • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with 3–5+ years in a sales leadership role within environmental services, laboratory services, or technical/regulated industries
- Strong understanding of environmental analytical testing, compliance-driven services, and regulatory frameworks (EPA/state) preferred
- Proven experience managing complex sales cycles and high-value client relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), LinkedIn, and sales outreach platforms
