Job Description

Assistant Category Manager – DEWALT, Enterprise Solutions

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.

• Assist in managing enterprise solutions across the DEWALT portfolio. • Responsible for driving margin growth, portfolio and brand optimization and strategy through best-in-class analytics, insights, and reporting. • Guide market pricing and margin expectations. • Support budget process with tracking and providing inputs for budget allocation decisions made by more senior team members. • Build category financial P&L forecast on a bi-annual basis to analyze core and NPD product assortment and margin mix for a 3-year horizon. • Understand the competitive product assortment, trends in the industry & commercial environment, and translate gaps into opportunities for growth. • Analyze and define our product range by brand and retail channel. • Partner with pricing team to establish market-based pricing for NPD and Core SKUs annually and quantify financial impact of any proposed pricing changes at the portfolio and customer account level. • Provide strategic counsel to cross-functional partners in regards to category strategy, pricing, product assortment, margin and growth expectations, and product launch plans.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 2+ years of experience in a sophisticated environment within channel, analytics, brand marketing, finance or sales role
  • Excellent English communication, will be expected to collaborate with and influence teams cross-functionally on a regular cadence
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; general proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, Infor XA is preferred
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills including the ability to effectively utilize data from multiple sources to drive decisions
  • Proven track record of driving initiatives from strategy to execution.
  • Ability to understand and address complex business issues and multi-functional operating strategies efficiently
