Role Description The Legal Delivery Centre (LDC) offers an exciting opportunity for development and the chance to undertake varied, challenging, and engaging work. This role is predominantly dedicated to the derivatives team within the firm's Banking group, providing excellent paralegal experience and exposure to major clients. This is a virtual role with no expectation to attend office locations, but there are opportunities to visit the hub in Milton Keynes and offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as the London office for the derivatives team. Responsibilities - Deliver paralegal support to the derivatives team, including: - Negotiating and drafting master agreements and ancillary documents for securities lending, repo, and derivatives (GMRA, GMSLA, and ISDA). - Conducting legal due diligence. - Liaising with clients and counterparties in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. - Managing client tracking tables using Microsoft Word and Excel. - Drafting emails and correspondence on behalf of fee earners. - Undertaking legal research. - Providing administrative support to fee earners. - Filing and maintaining correspondence and documentation. Qualifications - Minimum of three A levels at grade A, or equivalent. - A qualification in law, minimum 2.1 (Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law). - LPC or equivalent (preferred but not essential). - Previous paralegal experience (helpful but not essential). - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook). - Ability to work well under pressure and to very tight deadlines (essential). - Ability to organise, prioritise, and multi-task. - Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail. - Demonstrate drive and initiative. - Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. - Confidence to deal effectively with Partners and professionals across the firm. - An ability and willingness to be flexible. - Sociable and a good team player.
