Manager, Technical Accounting – Reporting

• Lead the preparation of external financial reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, producing deliverables that comply with US GAAP and SEC requirements • Drive the preparation and review of supporting schedules and prepare the tie-out support package for the external financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements • Author technical accounting memos that establish and document the company’s position on complex technical accounting matters including, but not limited to, stock-based compensation, debt, business combinations, revenue, and leases • Execute the accounting for equity awards, including preparing journal entries, and preparation of the related equity schedules for the consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures • Contribute to the development, refinement, and ongoing maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, helping ensure alignment with evolving regulatory and business requirements • Serve as a subject matter resource for technical accounting and reporting matters, independently researching and resolving complex issues and providing clear, supportable recommendations • Monitor emerging accounting pronouncements, assist in the evaluation of the impacts, and supporting implementation of new accounting pronouncements, as needed • Participate in the preparation of financial reporting controls documentation in compliance with SOX requirements • Collaborate with other teams within the Finance and Accounting departments • Play a central role in audit execution, preparing key deliverables, responding to auditor inquiries, and facilitating walkthroughs, as needed • Assist with other projects and initiatives on an ad hoc basis as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded company environment
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), specifically ASC 718, Stock-based compensation and ASC 842, Leases
  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) requirements and internal control frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience with SEC financial reporting (Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and working knowledge of related disclosure requirements
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge to write technical memos
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
  • An eye for process improvement, ability to challenge the status quo, and identify improvements
  • Ability to operate independently in a lean environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality, audit-ready work
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and provide clear, supportable recommendations
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter, adaptability, responsiveness to change, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

About the Role The Accounting Manager will be an integral member of the Finance team at Fabric, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing the general ledger and overseeing the entire monthly financial statement close process. You will lead and supervise the existing accounting team and drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and scalability. What You'll Do As Accounting Manager, you will be the core driver of financial accuracy, integrity, and efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Financial Close & Reporting: Perform timely and accurate month-end close, managing financial closing activities (including foreign entities), consolidation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and journal entries. - Team Leadership: Supervise the existing accounting team and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and accurately. - Process Improvement: Lead efforts to build out new workflows and structure, actively addressing and improving month-end close processes to drive operational efficiency. - Technical Accounting: Identify, research, and document Fabric’s technical accounting policies.
