Job Description
AI Product Engineer
Reach plc
Role Description Are you ready to build the future of People Experience? We are looking for an AI Product Engineer (our internal "AI Builder") to join our People Tech, Data & Innovation team. This isn’t a traditional HR role. We want a tech-forward creator who believes that AI and automation are the keys to unlocking human potential. You will be the bridge between complex data and seamless employee experiences, using the Google ecosystem to turn manual "clutter" into high-tech, automated solutions. What You’ll Be Doing - AI Solution Architecting: You’ll use Gemini and other LLMs to generate Google Apps Script/JavaScript code, connecting our systems and building bespoke internal tools that make "self-service" a reality. - Google Cloud Innovation: You will leverage Google Cloud Project environments to manage data and build structured workflows that capture clean data at the source. - Data Storytelling: You’ll deep-dive into PX insights to craft stunning Looker Studio or Tableau dashboards, translating technical data into "plain English" narratives for our Chief People Officer and senior stakeholders. - Automation Mastery: You’ll proactively hunt down manual processes and "email tennis," replacing them with automated workflows (via Zapier, Power Automate, or scripts) to boost productivity across the business. - Strategic Foundation: You’ll act as the primary data supplier to our Workforce Planning function, ensuring our "Operational Data" is clean and ready for future predictive modeling. Qualifications - Google Ecosystem Expertise: You are comfortable within Google Cloud Project and have a strong aptitude for Google Apps Script. - AI-Fluent: You are an expert at prompting LLMs (like Gemini) to write code, debug errors, and structure logic. You don’t just use AI; you partner with it. - Data Visualization Pro: You have proven mastery of Looker Studio or Tableau, with the ability to turn messy datasets (BigQuery/Sheets) into intuitive stories. - The "Better Way" Mindset: You are naturally proactive. You don't need all the answers on day one, but you have the technical curiosity to find them. - Low-Code Aptitude: You don’t need to be a full-stack developer, but you must be comfortable reading, editing, and implementing code to solve problems. Benefits - 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), with an extra day after three, five, and 10 years of service. - An extra day's paid leave each year to volunteer for a cause close to your community or your heart. - Big moment day - an extra day’s paid leave for significant life events. - Bonus scheme - you'll get a stake in our success and a chance to add to your annual earnings. - Help saving for your retirement - we'll match your company pension contributions up to 6%. - Supportive and progressive people policies, including enhanced family leave and policies to promote flexibility, inclusion, and progression. - A healthcare cash plan - giving you money back for a range of medical expenses and fast access to doctor's appointments. - Car lease scheme - you can buy a brand new electric or hybrid car through our leasing partner. - Wellbeing support - including a 24/7 assistance programme for you and your family. - Access to lots of discounts, including 15% off with Reach's online marketplace, Yimbly. - Interest-free loans, including for season tickets and technology. Additional Information If you’re excited about this role but don’t tick every single box, please don’t let that stop you from applying. We value potential, passion, and the perspectives that different backgrounds bring to our work. Diverse perspectives strengthen our teams and help us better serve our audiences, which is why we’re dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome and supported. As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. We are committed to a recruitment process that is fair and welcoming to all, without discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender identity, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
