Credit Score Model Systems Analyst

Role Description Participates in design and build of relevant, timely and accurate business rules configurations within lending platforms to automate corporate credit and pricing strategies. Responsible for all credit risk and scoring functions within lending platforms to ensure systems are adhering to compliance, credit and line of business expectations. Must be able to analyze and configure business rules in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Decision engine administration and configuration - Data and requirement analysis - Assistance in reporting needs through data integration while adhering to strict change control processes Perform sophisticated data analytics encompassing data mining, inferential statistical analysis, and predictive analytics. Identify actionable insights from various (or multiple) sources of data that measurably improve business outcomes or reduce business risk. Leverage analytic insights to build actionable strategies supporting the entire life cycle of lending products. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Six years of job related credit experience or similar configuration background. - Thorough understanding of credit within the financial services industry, including processes and systems. - Skill in functioning as both a project coordinator/leader and project member. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. - Skill in communicating in both technical and user-friendly language. - Previous experience with loan origination systems. - Advanced experience with business rule engine configuration. - Extensive experience with test plan development, execution and change control management. - Knowledge of regulations associated with consumer and/or small business lending. - Extensive knowledge in credit bureau reporting. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Requirements - Translates line of business and/or credit requirements, including regulatory items, into detailed specifications for automated decision engine. - Analyzes system impacts associated with credit, compliance and pricing policies. - Conducts data mapping and analysis for origination platforms integration with automated decision engines. - Conducts automated decision rule configurations to support corporate credit and pricing policies for numerous lending platforms including loans and credit cards. - Evaluates and solves complex business processes with a focus on efficiency opportunities, credit risk functions, regulatory compliance while ensuring effective handling of lending policies. - Must be able to work with numerous lines of business on strategic projects as a key player adhering to project scope and timelines. - Develops test plans and conducts a variety of testing to include unit, integration and user acceptance testing. - Coordinates with internal teams and/or external vendors on testing initiatives to ensure implementation readiness. - Coordinates communication and documentation of system/process changes to key business units. - Provides production support for questions and issue resolution. - Assists with executing processes to analyze changes to loan portfolios and prepares reports for management to include compliance reviews and exams, oversight committees and executive management. - Acts as Subject Matter Expert for lending platform(s) to include understanding of integration and decision engine rule building with expertise in credit bureau reporting and system functionality with a focus on regulations associated with each lending portfolio. - Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area, including observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. - Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion. - Performs other related duties as required.
