Role Description - Design and implement secure, scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions - Architect and maintain advanced hypervisor environments including: - Microsoft Hyper-V - VMware vSphere / ESXi - Proxmox VE - Design and manage high-availability clusters and failover strategies - Perform capacity planning, resource allocation, and performance tuning - Hypervisor Administration: - Deploy, configure, and maintain Hyper-V, VMware, and Proxmox environments - Manage VM lifecycle (provisioning, cloning, migration, decommissioning) - Configure virtual networking, storage (SAN/NAS), and clustering - Perform hypervisor upgrades, patching, and firmware coordination - Plan and execute hypervisor migrations between platforms when needed - Citrix and Remote Desktop Infrastructure: - Manage and update Citrix Machine Catalogs and Terminal environments - Troubleshoot Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops performance issues - Monitoring and Escalation Support: - Configure and maintain network and server monitoring systems - Assist support teams with escalated virtualization and cloud issues - Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions - Optimization and Continuous Improvement: - Identify performance and cost optimization opportunities - Improve system reliability, scalability, and resiliency - Stay current with virtualization, cloud, and security best practices Qualifications - Minimum of 7 years of hands-on technical experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud environments - Advanced, hands-on experience with at least two of the following hypervisors: - Microsoft Hyper-V - VMware vSphere / ESXi - Proxmox VE - Strong understanding of enterprise networking (VLANs, routing, VPN, DNS, DHCP) - Experience with server and infrastructure monitoring platforms - Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-layer infrastructure issues - Strong documentation and communication skills Requirements - Nice-to-have / Advantageous Skills: - Experience working within a ticketing system - Experience with storage technologies (iSCSI, NFS, Fibre Channel) - PowerShell or automation scripting experience - Disaster recovery and backup solution experience - Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware VCP, Citrix, Azure, security certifications)
