M&A Sourcing Analyst

Role Description Atlas Technica is seeking an M&A Sourcing Analyst to help build and manage the company's acquisition pipeline. This individual will identify acquisition targets, perform company research, build financial analysis, and support the leadership team in evaluating potential MSP acquisitions. This role offers direct exposure to M&A strategy, private equity-style deal sourcing, and working closely with executive leadership. Responsibilities - Acquisition Target Identification - Identify and map potential acquisition targets across the MSP and IT services industry. - Build and maintain a database of potential acquisition candidates. - Conduct detailed research on MSP companies, including services, size, financial profile, and leadership. - Market Mapping & Industry Research - Maintain a comprehensive MSP market map across North America, Asia, and the United Kingdom. - Monitor industry trends, competitor acquisitions, and private equity activity. - Develop market intelligence reports for leadership. - Deal Pipeline Management - Build and maintain Atlas Technica's M&A pipeline tracker. - Track status of opportunities across sourcing, outreach, and diligence stages. - Maintain CRM records of all target companies and contacts. - Executive Outreach Preparation - Prepare briefing materials for leadership outreach to MSP founders and CEOs. - Compile contact information, background summaries, and key business insights. - Support outreach campaigns through email, networking, and industry channels. - Financial and Strategic Analysis - Conduct preliminary financial analysis of acquisition targets. - Build Excel models to estimate revenue scale, margins, and valuation ranges. - Prepare investment summaries for leadership review. - M&A Process Support - Assist in coordinating early-stage diligence. - Support preparation of acquisition investment memos. - Work with internal teams and external advisors during deal evaluation. - Work on building relationships with investment bankers, brokers, and advisors to increase our reach and awareness. Qualifications - 1–3 years of experience in: - Investment Banking - Private Equity - Corporate Development - Management Consulting - Exceptional analytical and research skills. - Advanced Excel proficiency. - Strong written communication and organizational abilities. Preferred Qualifications - Experience analyzing technology services or MSP businesses. - Experience building financial models. - Familiarity with CRM tools or deal sourcing platforms. Overview The Massachusetts Food System Collaborative (MAFSC) supports collective action toward an equitable, sustainable, resilient, and connected local food system in Massachusetts. The Collaborative was created following the completion of the Massachusetts Local Food Action Plan in December 2015. Our relationships with organizations, public sector agencies and policymakers, and other food system stakeholders around the state inform the Collaborative’s priorities. We work toward policy change that will contribute to a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system by building broad support for advocacy campaigns and providing training and other resources to allow partners to participate effectively. We bring together players throughout the food system in an effort to demonstrate the breadth of the food system, and facilitate opportunities for stakeholders to work collaboratively. Through these networks, we lead advocacy campaigns around items in the Plan that emphasize cross-sectoral collaboration; support equity, sustainability, and resilience in the food system; and have the potential for significant impact through coordinated grassroots efforts. These efforts work toward systemic solutions to targeted problems, increase communication among key stakeholders, and highlight and promote the sharing of best practices. The Massachusetts Food System Collaborative is fiscally sponsored by TSNE (www.tsne.org). Responsibilities The Policy Specialist will research and prepare information that will help inform MAFSC’s policy strategy and expand our capacity to advocate for the local food system in Massachusetts. In this role, the policy specialist will help set MAFSC state legislative priorities and develop municipal support for MAFSC. Essential Functions - Research background and support for state-level legislation, including research for existing Collaborative priority legislation, as well as additional proposed policies. - Research municipal policy work through interviews and review of available ordinances. - Research and report on best practices, emerging policy trends, and conduct policy scans in coordination with MAFSC staff to guide policy development. - Analyze policy proposals and provide recommendations on strategic opportunities. - Draft policy briefs and white papers for publication on MAFSC website. - Assist with planning lobby days, including inviting speakers and other logistics. - Assist with drafting testimony and organizational sign-on letters of support for key policies and programs. - Develop blogs, press releases, action alerts, and other advocacy communications, as needed. - Interact with and interview our external partners and report back on findings. Other duties as needed.
