Overview Integrity Initiatives International (integrityinitiatives.org) is an international NGO focused on combatting grand corruption by strengthening the enforcement of criminal laws against corrupt leaders, also known as kleptocrats. III works to end grand corruption by: supporting national measures, such as the recently created High Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine; promoting understanding of the close connection between human rights and anti-corruption organizations; forging a network of young people dedicated to combatting corruption in their own countries and around the world; and catalyzing a campaign to establish the International Anti-Corruption Court (IACC).III is a fiscally sponsored organization of TSNE (tsne.org). Responsibilities The Program Associate works closely with the Executive Director and the III Board. The Program Associate role is a unique opportunity for a new or recent graduate to gain experience working closely with III’s board and partners, who include leading international jurists, former cabinet ministers, and civil society leaders, among other prominent individuals from around the world. For the excellent candidate, there may be opportunities for significant professional growth as the scope of III’s work expands. The Program Associate participates in the full range of III’s activities, including: Essential Functions Program Duties: - Support III advocacy efforts by scheduling and participating in meetings with existing and potential civil society and government partners and assisting with follow up on action items. - Initiate outreach and maintain partnerships as the main contact person for a subset of existing and potential partners in a world region. - Hold meetings to update partners on developments and discuss potential joint activities. - Write a detailed summary of each meeting. - Support the IACC Treaty Committee, primarily by tracking feedback on the draft treaty and maintaining the Committee’s virtual workspace. - Research and report on developments such as elections, protests, government changes, and anti-corruption initiatives to identify potential openings for outreach. - Produce regular reports on publications, including reports by NGOs and governments, regarding grand corruption and anti-corruption efforts. - Conduct additional research and write memos on matters concerning international law, grand corruption, and anti-corruption effort. - Maintain the organization’s list of priorities, additional action items, and calendars. - Organize and distribute materials prior to meetings. - Organize events such as webinars, conferences, and meetings with partners. Communications Duties: - Draft and edit communications materials, including newsletters, press releases, brochures, executive summaries, social media content, etc.; - Maintain III’s website using SquareSpace; - Assist in the development of the social media strategy and toolkit; track and analyze social media metrics. - Provide quality control, including proofreading, on all print and electronic public information produced by III colleagues. - Assist with the development and maintenance of records and files of communication and outreach content – for III institutional memory and quick staff access. Administrative Duties: - Maintain III’s electronic records including our Google Drive, other databases, emails from partners, online publications, contacts lists, and other similar records. - Prepare itineraries and travel arrangements for board members and other partners, when necessary; - Manage III interns day-to-day, when necessary; - Lead development of manuals, promotional and instructional materials, such as onboarding for interns/staff, slide decks, and brand and social media guidelines. - Facilitate the management of III’s finances with Third Sector New England (TSNE), including submitting expense reports, tracking contributions, sending acknowledgement letters, and fulfilling invoices; - Assist the Executive Director in budgeting, financial reporting, and quarterly data presentation; - Provide administrative support for fundraising efforts, including drafting emails, researching individuals and foundations, editing grant proposals and grant reports, and keeping detailed notes of III’s fundraising history. Special Requirements - Ability to occasionally work early in the morning or in the evening to communicate with board members and partners around the world. - Travel within the United States and abroad. Overview The Massachusetts Food System Collaborative (MAFSC) supports collective action toward an equitable, sustainable, resilient, and connected local food system in Massachusetts. The Collaborative was created following the completion of the Massachusetts Local Food Action Plan in December 2015. Our relationships with organizations, public sector agencies and policymakers, and other food system stakeholders around the state inform the Collaborative’s priorities. We work toward policy change that will contribute to a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system by building broad support for advocacy campaigns and providing training and other resources to allow partners to participate effectively. We bring together players throughout the food system in an effort to demonstrate the breadth of the food system, and facilitate opportunities for stakeholders to work collaboratively. Through these networks, we lead advocacy campaigns around items in the Plan that emphasize cross-sectoral collaboration; support equity, sustainability, and resilience in the food system; and have the potential for significant impact through coordinated grassroots efforts. These efforts work toward systemic solutions to targeted problems, increase communication among key stakeholders, and highlight and promote the sharing of best practices. The Massachusetts Food System Collaborative is fiscally sponsored by TSNE (www.tsne.org). Responsibilities The Policy Specialist will research and prepare information that will help inform MAFSC’s policy strategy and expand our capacity to advocate for the local food system in Massachusetts. In this role, the policy specialist will help set MAFSC state legislative priorities and develop municipal support for MAFSC. Essential Functions - Research background and support for state-level legislation, including research for existing Collaborative priority legislation, as well as additional proposed policies. - Research municipal policy work through interviews and review of available ordinances. - Research and report on best practices, emerging policy trends, and conduct policy scans in coordination with MAFSC staff to guide policy development. - Analyze policy proposals and provide recommendations on strategic opportunities. - Draft policy briefs and white papers for publication on MAFSC website. - Assist with planning lobby days, including inviting speakers and other logistics. - Assist with drafting testimony and organizational sign-on letters of support for key policies and programs. - Develop blogs, press releases, action alerts, and other advocacy communications, as needed. - Interact with and interview our external partners and report back on findings. The Board of Directors is looking for a proven leader who brings credibility, business acumen and demonstrated expertise in healthcare. The new President and CEO will report to the Board of Directors and work together to ensure NICHQ's continued ability to meet its mission by attracting and retaining talent, strengthening its financial position and pursuing and producing work with significant impact. The candidate will have proven success leading a fast-paced, multifaceted organization with complex administrative, financial, funding, operational, and service demands in a transformational and competitive landscape. Organizational Overview NICHQ has a team of 55 multicultural and dedicated project and administrative staff who work remotely, with a small office in Boston. NICHQ’s broad range of services include the application of quality improvement and implementation science, cross‐sector collaboration, system design, project management, applied research and evaluation, and patient and family engagement, and measuring improvements and health policy in areas that matter most for the health of children and families. NICHQ has a budget of $12 million, of which 80% comes from government grants and 20% from private sources and foundations. Like many organizations that rely more heavily on government funding, it operates in an environment of unpredictability. However, unlike many non-profit organizations of its size, it has an operating reserve of $5 million. In the current environment, the new CEO will have opportunities, as well as challenges, to move the organization forward in the field of maternal and child health. NICHQ Today For NICHQ to move forward successfully and remain an important voice in children's health, we need strategic, innovative leadership, and strong organizational oversight from the new President and CEO. The New President and CEO: After being appointed, the new leader will have the opportunity and responsibility to further define NICHQ’s future direction. There is an exp-ectation that the new President and CEO will develop a compelling vision and strategic plan for NICHQ’s future with the support of the Board and will be able to inspire NICHQ’s staff and key stakeholders to execute on that plan.
