Summary In our Assurance role, your primary focus will be on Employee Benefit Plan audits, while providing clients across a variety of industries with quality services and personal attention. This will include assisting in planning the audit approach, preparing supporting workpapers, and overseeing staff. Essential Functions - Lead and support audits for defined contribution pension plans, defined benefit pension plans, and health plans - Lead and oversee staff through compliance testing on various types of defined benefit plans - Listen and communicate effectively with clients to learn engagement expectations and develop long-term relationships - Identify problem areas and client issues and propose solutions to managers and partners - Identify value added suggestions from audit and reviews for client utilization - Be aware of developments, pronouncements, and research technical issues, and participate in internal training as appropriate. - Participate in staff and intern recruiting activities Position Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Human Resources Management, or other relevant degree program - Two to five years of public accounting experience or payroll and benefits experience, preferred - CPA license or HR certification encouraged but not required - Strong basic knowledge of accounting procedures and/or employee benefit plans - Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Regular travel to office or client sites not required, but occasional travel for new client setup, conferences, or training is expected

This role maintains the organization's official accounting records in accordance with GAAP and internal policies, supports strong internal controls and reliable financial reporting, and helps reinforce trust with donors, grantors, and internal stakeholders. This is a full-time regular position offering a comprehensive benefits package. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with the option for a hybrid schedule, working some days on-site and some days remotely. GAMA-1 Technologies seeks a remote Jr. Project Accountant who will work under the leadership and direction of the VP of Finance and the Sr. Project Accountant, and participate in the planning, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for multiple projects. The Jr. Project Accountant will also be responsible for monitoring all costs (incurred and projected) associated with a contract to ensure compliance with the contract and GAMA-1 policies. The Jr. Project Accountant will ensure timely, accurate, and relevant financial information is made available to the Program Manager and GAMA-1, coordinating with other projects and functions as necessary.
