• Author, edit, and maintain product documentation including: user guides and help center articles, feature and release documentation, API and developer documentation (where applicable), in-app help, tooltips, and contextual guidance, commercial and Ops enablement collateral, ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with product behavior and roadmap changes. • Partner closely with the CPO and technical team to understand product intent, user needs, and roadmap priorities. • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure documentation complements product experiences and usability principles. • Support the Support team, Sales, and Operations teams with internal and external-facing documentation as needed. • Establish and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and best practices. • Advocate for documentation as a core part of product quality and customer experience. • Continuously improve documentation based on user feedback, support trends, and product evolution. • Help define what “done” means for documentation as part of product delivery. • Manage documentation of workflows, tooling, and version control in partnership with Product and Engineering. • Participate in sprint planning, product reviews, and release processes to stay aligned with development cycles. • Identify opportunities to improve documentation efficiency, discoverability, and scalability.

Ametris is seeking a Technical Writer to join our Product organization and play a critical role in shaping how our products are understood, adopted, and used. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Science, Marketing, Operations and other customer-facing teams to create high-quality documentation that scales with our platform and supports both internal and external audiences. The person who fills this role will be responsible for translating technical and non-technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-centered content that supports the full product lifecycle—from early development through launch and ongoing iteration. Your contributions will ensure that our users have the resources they need to utilize our products effectively and ensure compliance with industry standards. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including How-Tos, process descriptions, technical specifications, and release notes. • Ensure all documentation tools are up-to-date, organized, and accessible to support ongoing development needs. • Take ownership of our Confluence wiki by updating content, maintaining structure, and ensuring documentation quality and consistency. • Regularly review and refine existing documentation to enhance clarity, accuracy, and usability for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Work independently to gather missing or incomplete information by consulting with developers, conducting research, and investigating internal resources. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay updated on product developments and ensure documentation aligns with the latest software releases. • Create, format, and publish release notes for software updates, clearly highlighting changes, fixes, and new features for end-users and stakeholders. • Coordinate with product and development teams to ensure release notes are accurate and informative.

• Participating as an active team member on the Documentation scrum team to help create and manage documentation team projects each quarter. • Collaborating with engineers, testers, designers, and product managers to prepare documentation for each major release. • Translating complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation that is easy for end-users to understand. • Researching and writing documentation content that is technically accurate, instructionally effective, and meets departmental writing styles and standards. • Updating and reworking existing documentation as needed and creating release documentation for major and minor product releases. • Researching and developing an understanding of the marketing requirements for the features being documented, including target audience and competitive documentation issues. • Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
