Ametris is an international leader in the development of validated medical-grade wearable solutions used to measure physical activity, sleep, and behavior patterns in the broader global academic and pharma research communities. Ametris is seeking a Technical Writer to join our Product organization and play a critical role in shaping how our products are understood, adopted, and used. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Science, Marketing, Operations and other customer-facing teams to create high-quality documentation that scales with our platform and supports both internal and external audiences. The person who fills this role will be responsible for translating technical and non-technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-centered content that supports the full product lifecycle—from early development through launch and ongoing iteration. Your contributions will ensure that our users have the resources they need to utilize our products effectively and ensure compliance with industry standards. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including How-Tos, process descriptions, technical specifications, and release notes. • Ensure all documentation tools are up-to-date, organized, and accessible to support ongoing development needs. • Take ownership of our Confluence wiki by updating content, maintaining structure, and ensuring documentation quality and consistency. • Regularly review and refine existing documentation to enhance clarity, accuracy, and usability for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Work independently to gather missing or incomplete information by consulting with developers, conducting research, and investigating internal resources. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay updated on product developments and ensure documentation aligns with the latest software releases. • Create, format, and publish release notes for software updates, clearly highlighting changes, fixes, and new features for end-users and stakeholders. • Coordinate with product and development teams to ensure release notes are accurate and informative.

• Participating as an active team member on the Documentation scrum team to help create and manage documentation team projects each quarter. • Collaborating with engineers, testers, designers, and product managers to prepare documentation for each major release. • Translating complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation that is easy for end-users to understand. • Researching and writing documentation content that is technically accurate, instructionally effective, and meets departmental writing styles and standards. • Updating and reworking existing documentation as needed and creating release documentation for major and minor product releases. • Researching and developing an understanding of the marketing requirements for the features being documented, including target audience and competitive documentation issues. • Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

• Develop product instructions for use and customer‑facing documentation that is accurate, compliant, and translation‑ready for global users. • Plan, write, and deliver labeling content using technical publishing tools while managing project timelines and deliverables. • Drive labeling activities as an active project team member, ensuring documentation meets medical device regulations and internal quality system requirements. • Coordinate cross‑functional input from engineers, clinicians, and subject matter experts to create technically sound and user‑centered content. • Evaluate and improve documentation quality by interpreting procedures, incorporating labeling standards, and applying topic‑based authoring strategies. • Perform Labeling Specification, Verification, and Global Impact Assessment reviews, applying critical thinking to assess cross‑functional effects of changes. • Manage multiple concurrent projects, escalating issues when needed to maintain compliance and readiness. • Contribute to process improvements, product transfers, and quality system integration efforts, and mentor less experienced writers when appropriate.
