Job Description

Systems Engineer, Client Onboarding

ScalableOS

• Owns the technical execution of client onboarding and offboarding engagements; serves as the lead technical contact for the client and internal project team • Understands and supports the implementation of managed IT services (servers and networking, endpoints, communications, security services, and cloud solutions) • Partners with the Client Onboarding Project Manager and stakeholders to plan and coordinate technical workstreams for onboarding and decommission projects • Ensures deployed components are inventoried in internal tools and documented in customer management systems • Participates in post-project reviews (lessons learned) to identify wins, gaps, and process improvements • Supports planning, testing, and training activities as new products and services are developed and standardized • Improves team processes by providing actionable feedback to peers and leadership • Builds strong relationships with cross-functional peers and internal team members • Communicates clearly, verbally and in writing, with stakeholders at all levels (leadership, vendors, field technicians, and customers) • Escalates complex technical issues to Client Onboarding Systems Engineers and escalates risks, issues, and blockers appropriately and in a timely manner • Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years related hands-on work experience deploying IT projects, preferably in an IT managed services environment
  • Microsoft certification(s) preferred (e.g., Windows Server/Hybrid, Microsoft 365, Azure) or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) and Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • CCNP/CCNA or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Work experience must include supporting LAN-connected devices, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with ConnectWise Manage, IT Glue, or similar customer relationship management (CRM) and documentation platforms is a strong plus
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Microsoft Visio
  • Proficient in the Google suite of office products
  • Previous experience deploying multi-faceted IT projects in a matrix environment preferred
  • Broad technical knowledge across hardware; Windows and Linux builds/configuration; VoIP telephony; LAN networking; mobile platforms (Android and iOS); and remote management tools
  • Experience creating and maintaining knowledge base articles and technical documentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory (Windows Server-based AD DS) and Microsoft Exchange (Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE) / Exchange Online)
  • Proficient with current desktop operating systems (Windows 11 and the latest supported macOS release)
  • Proficient with router, firewall, switch, and access point configuration/management (Cisco, Meraki, WatchGuard, Fortinet, etc.)
  • Has a good understanding of common cybersecurity best practices
  • Self-motivated and detail- and process-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
