• Build the modeling and analytics function and take ownership of model documentation, tuning, and partner with engineering for model development. • Develop and execute the modeling and analytics roadmap supporting the company’s Financial Crimes Compliance program. • Partner with senior Compliance, Product, and Data leaders to translate regulatory requirements into effective analytical frameworks. • Champion analytical excellence, model governance, and innovation in AML and Sanctions detection approaches. • Design, implement, and maintain statistical and machine learning models for transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, customer risk scoring, and alert optimization. • Ensure models and rules have appropriate documentation in line with Mercury’s Model Risk Management framework, draft new documentation for existing models as needed. • Evaluate and tune existing detection models and rules to reduce false positives while maintaining regulatory rigor. • Develop data-driven methods to identify new typologies, emerging risks, and evolving financial crime trends. • Partner with Model Risk Management to support validation and performance monitoring of models to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Job Requirements

This technical position requires a strong analytical background with the ability to drive programs forward. Role Description The AML Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of Wolt and Wolt’s customer’s financial integrity by: - Collecting and assessing customer data - Monitoring and analyzing financial transactions and sanctions exposure - Identifying and preventing potential financial crime activities, such as money laundering and terrorism financing The primary responsibility of the AML Specialist is to: - Assess customer transactions and profiles - Conduct investigations - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies Daily tasks consist of: - Transaction Monitoring - FIU Reporting - Sanction & PEP Screening - Know Your Customer functions The role provides a 360-degree view of different operative AML tasks during the customer relationship's lifecycle.
