Role Description As a Senior Data Scientist at Wolt, your role involves diving into our data to solve crucial business problems. Role Description Wolt’s Personalization team is responsible for creating a tailored experience for Wolt’s customers across their shopping journey, selecting the best restaurants, dishes or items to match their culinary and shopping preferences across multiple premises such as Discovery, In Venue or Checkout. The Personalization team owns the ML stack, models and integrations that generate real-time recommendations for millions of customers across all Wolt markets. Role Description The Selection Analytics Team at Wolt owns the data and infrastructure that helps all 32 of our country teams build a portfolio of high-quality restaurant and retail stores. Our overarching mission is to provide customers with the best selection by enabling sales teams across all markets to acquire the best merchants. To do this, we work directly with country sales teams to help them identify and prioritize the highest potential merchant candidates. We also work with Wolt leadership by providing metrics to track selection quality, upon which they develop strategic initiatives and goals. This is a lean and mighty team that owns and operates the engine for merchant acquisition globally. Role Description We’re looking for passionate and product-minded Backend Engineers to join our Discovery team - the group behind some of the most visible and impactful parts of Wolt’s consumer app. You’ll work on features that help millions of users discover their next favorite restaurant, grocery store, or product - from the homepage and category views to new vertical experiences like groceries, electronics, pet food, and health & beauty. This is more than just a backend engineering role. We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with curiosity, ownership, and a deep interest in creating meaningful user experiences at scale. AI-First Engineering in Discovery - Design workflows where AI agents handle entire task loops, from spec to PR. - Think in terms of orchestration: what does a human review, what does the agent own? - Build internal tooling and abstractions that make AI-assisted development faster and more reliable for the whole team. - Stay curious and ahead of the curve - trying new models, agents, and tools as they emerge, and forming strong opinions about what's genuinely useful vs. hype.
