Solutions Architect

• Serve as a technical product manager and engineering leader driving public service mission innovation • Understand how product thinking and human-centered design complement technical efforts • Provide strategic technology advice to clients by deeply understanding mission objectives • Design and guide implementation of end-to-end solutions ensuring all components integrate • Work with technologies such as React, Java Spring Boot, Python, and other web app and data analytics components • Guide cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes, EKS, Aurora, and other AWS/cloud services • Provide technical leadership to senior client technical and business stakeholders, ensuring compliance and alignment to architectural standards and best practices • Drive innovation in client processes, service delivery to the public, and technical solutions • Identify key risks and assumptions and guide research and proof-of-concept experimentation • Guide modern delivery practices among development teams and support team members’ professional growth
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years technical leadership and/or solution architect experience on large, multi-team products
- Experience with forward-leaning technical solutions including:
- Cloud-native architectures
- Serverless event-based systems
- Open-source tech stacks
- Containers
- Pipeline automation
- Deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps principles and practices
- Familiarity with programming and design approaches including:
- Object-oriented design
- Functional programming
- Design patterns
- Modern API design
- SQL and NoSQL database design
- Experience defining and enforcing application and cloud data security across the lifecycle
- Experience researching emerging technologies, processes, and best practices
