• Lead execution of key data governance processes including the following: critical data asset identification, data cataloging, and monitoring • Lead efforts to implement and maintain master data across the enterprise • Lead and drive the data governance and management community outreach, evangelism, and training across the Analytics CoE and enterprise as well as hosting community events on data governance related topics • Acts as a servant leader who guides the team to reach their goals • Plan capacity at a team level • Coordinates cross team dependencies • Works with Product Owners/ Program Manager to prioritize and estimate effort • Prioritizes testing within the team to ensure a high level of data and analytics quality • Understanding of performance and scalability concerns and query plan analysis • Participates in identifying new capabilities and new design patterns • Leads the team on gathering requirements for data governance initiatives and projects • Partners with the business data stewards during project delivery and on an ongoing basis • Advocate for participation from business areas in data governance activities • Designs and develops agile solutions to measure data quality and data governance effectiveness and summarizes and presents this in an effective manner to stakeholders and data governance forums • Identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used • Lead problem solver for the team • Participates in architectural design discussions • Mentors less experienced Data Governance Analysts • Stay up to date on data governance trends and employ industry (and company) best practices • Be a resource to teammates and the organization as a subject matter expert in data governance and data management • Facilitate the definition of business KPIs and be a change agent where standardization needs to occur • Agent for change to improve business and IT processes • Has a strong understanding of specific areas of the business that the team supports • Enforces industry and company best practices within the team

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience working in data management and data governance roles
  • Strong experience with various MDM methodologies and tooling, data catalogs, and data quality tooling with modern cloud approaches (Azure preferred)
  • Experience working with relational database systems
  • Advanced knowledge and practice of SQL
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools, with preference to PowerBI
  • Working knowledge of data preparation and data transformation (for BI/analytics) approaches
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Why this Role is Exciting: Optro is seeking a Deal Desk Analyst (Temp) to join our Global Deal Desk team. The Deal Desk Analyst Contractor role is viewed as a trusted and recognized business partner to the Sales Field Organization. The Deal Desk Analyst will support all commercial-related activities including, but not limited to, deal structuring and pricing, contract creation, review and approval for quotes, and providing support to the Sales Field on Optro’s quoting tools. Location: TIMEZONE: Pacific/ Mountain Time Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert guidance to the Sales field and Customer Success in the areas of deal structuring, pricing, redlining and contract management. Participate in deal reviews with Sales/Sales Leadership to help drive Account-Level strategy on pricing/deal structuring. - Ensure deals are structured and processed efficiently and align with company policies. - Review, interpret, and confirm contract terms and conditions; work closely with finance and legal teams to ensure all contracts are accurate. Verify compliance with internal policies - Responsible for drafting, modifying, and finalizing contracts including new, add-on, and upsell business for Cloud Subscription Services. - Review and approve deals for Optro customers and prospects. - Anticipate issues and initiate actions to resolve them using professional judgment and concepts, company policies, and procedures. - Deal with day-to-day queries from Sales, and Account Management teams on Optro’s quoting tools and/or CRM system. Participate in testing, as requested, to support quoting tool enhancements. - Support Sales enablement through new hire training initiatives and ad hoc training requests as needed. - Independently drive efficiency and process improvements. Support commercial projects on an as-needed basis.
