Grants Administrator

• Reports to the Director of Archiving & Data Services and supports several organizational leaders • Pursuing program-specific grants and funding • Overseeing the full life of grant administration including grant writing and management • Managing and growing a portfolio of foundation, government, and corporate funders • Coordinating all aspects of proposal development, compliance, and reporting • Identify new prospects and independently manage existing institutional funders • Own the creation and submission of high-quality grant proposals and budgets • Work with programmatic teams to ensure funding matches organizational needs • Collaborate with Director-level staff to articulate goals, outcomes, and impact • Use the organization’s customer relationship management system (CiviCRM) • Monitor grant compliance by communicating funding or program status • Prepare progress and final impact reports • Lead and participate in funder stewardship activities • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Five (5)+ years of experience in grant writing, grant management/administration, and/or institutional fundraising
  • Experience in crafting compelling proposals and full grant applications
  • Proven track record in successful fundraising, especially with foundation, corporate, and government funders
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems and grant tracking tools
  • Experience working remotely and with remote teams
  • A commitment to the mission - Universal Access to All Knowledge
  • Ability to travel (estimated 10%-20%) is required.
  • Impeccable writing, editing, communication and presentation skills
  • Knows how to work as a team player who is willing to share knowledge and be open to learning from others.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, deadlines, and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in Google suite, Slack, and donor databases.
