• Responsible for identifying, implementing, and executing strategic development projects and opportunities in coordination with Destination Development and Royal Caribbean Group Leadership • Accountable for securing external approval of the development projects on behalf of RCG, as well as, internal RCG approvals • Oversee the relationship of a subset of our existing JV partners, plan and execute Board of Directors meetings, and ensure the entities maintain RCG guest experience standards • Develop commercial and other business strategies to meet the strategic port development needs of RCG • Support the execution of commercial strategies by managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across the geographical region • Interact with port authorities, trade associations, and other brands in the industry regarding port development issues • Gather intelligence and find win-win opportunities for the partners and governments in the geographic locations core to ensuring RCG’s long-term success • Manage projects along the phases, from pre-feasibility studies to definitive designs, including RFPs • Guide local consultants and expert teams required for the execution of projects, evaluate the feasibility, viability, and financial sustainability of the project, and interact with local authorities to understand potential obstacles and risks. • Interact with various internal and external stakeholders to gather critical information to drive projects to completion • Communicate the strategy and deal details to the various RCG stakeholders to ensure preparation, review and execution of various legal documents to memorialize deal negotiation agreements • Manage assets and implementation in existing JVs and contribute to providing guidance to local General Managers and Finance teams for the application of high-standard management policies and reporting.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS Minimum
- Spanish speaker preferred, other languages are a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with an international cruise line or port development entity
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, consensus-building, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to lead a team and influence individuals of varying levels of management
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, general business periodicals, contracts, legal documents, and technical reports
- Existing network of contacts and established business relationships
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit
- Highly motivated and self-initiating.
- Extensive travel – ability and willingness to travel, both nationally and internationally, on a monthly basis up to 50% of the time.

Role Description Responsible for identifying and controlling company liability and associated costs for groundwater and associated media, optimizing WM landfill capacity and development costs, and implementation of company-wide environmental protection programs and policies within a defined geographic area of coverage. Support and provide leadership of certain corporate technical programs focused on asset protection and management of enterprise risk. While this is a remote position, the candidate must be based out of Ohio, Michigan or Pennsylvania. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and implement standards relating to the protection, control, and management of groundwater, surface water and the vadose zone within a defined geographic area of coverage. - Manage and evaluate leachate, landfill gas, gas condensate, etc. when they are a threat to surface water, groundwater, or the vadose zone. - Participate in the strategy and approval of the operating and capital budget for the Groundwater and Technical Programs group. - Review and approve proposed modifications to groundwater-related remedial reserves. - Direct and manage internal and external (consultant) company resources. - Manage asset development within the defined geographic area of coverage including facility impact determinations, expansion investigation scope and interpretation, groundwater/surface water permitting, regulatory negotiations, monitoring program development/change/optimization review and due diligence of potential property acquisitions. - Design and implement strategic project plans in response to complex compliance and liability issues. - Interpret environmental data, respond to NOVs or proposed Consent Orders, and comment on proposed regulatory rule revisions. - Organize and execute routine communications with Area management regarding significant development projects and compliance with company-wide environmental protection programs. - Plan, organize and manage the groundwater and related-media portion of an environmental protection program. - Monitor emerging issues in environmental regulatory requirements and develop the company’s response to new or changing regulations. - Direct communication with local, state, or national stakeholders to discuss program or project objectives. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor of Science Degree, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED. - 4+ years of hydrogeology and landfill-related experience. - 10+ years landfill-related experience. - Specific certification, licensing, or registration is required by at least one nationally recognized organization and one or more state organizations in the field of groundwater/hydrology, geology, or geologic engineering. - Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree or higher. - Minimum of 10+ years of hydrogeology and landfill-related experience. - MS Office familiarity, general computer acumen, and ability to learn to utilize other job-related technical software. - Familiarity with statistical methods and research skills. - A working knowledge of the company’s operations and business hierarchy. Physical Requirements - This job primarily operates remotely. - Normal setting for this job is an office setting at WM facilities (e.g., landfill and hazardous waste sites, transfer stations, market area offices, etc). - Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements when working in the field outside an office setting. - 20-25% travel is anticipated the first year of employment; subsequent travel may be comparable but variable depending on location and significance of key projects.
