Job Description

Billing and Special Projects Accountant – Part-Time

Camp Strategy

• Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and on time. • Monitor AR balances and follow up on overdue payments. • Assist with payment applications and generate AR aging reports. • Reconcile Accounts Receivable related general ledger accounts during the month-end close. • Process and record credit memos and billing adjustments. • Maintain accurate and organized records of all customer billing activity. • Participate in accounting projects related to tax filings, audits, and automation of processes. • Identify and support opportunities to improve current accounting tools and workflows. • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures as they relate to billing and revenue. • Document and update all billing and Accounts Receivable policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AR and general billing processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities - Match bank transactions. - Perform bank reconciliations for all assigned accounts. - Download and maintain monthly bank statements. - Download, upload, and reconcile American Express (AMEX) transactions. - Review and classify TravelPerk transactions weekly. - Prepare Accounts Receivable Invoices. - Prepare Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Reconciliations. - Prepare and enter depreciation entries and reconcile fixed asset balances. - Record prepaid expense entries and reconcile the prepaid amortization schedule. - Assemble and maintain the monthly close file. - Prepare and enter payroll journal entries and DEEL workbooks and entries. - Support payroll-related account reconciliations. - Perform intercompany reconciliations. - Assist with audit requests and maintain financial documentation. - Complete additional accounting tasks as assigned. Responds to inquiries from chapter staff. - Assists with gathering of information and documents for annual audit process. Helps prepare chapter’s audit workbooks and is point of contact for assigned chapters. - Assists with creating custom reports and queries in NetSuite, and/or Excel, as requested. - Builds and maintains relationships with chapters. - Leads month end close process, runs meetings, and serves as main point of contact for portfolio of chapters. - Identifies ways to improve processes to be more efficient and effective. - Provides support and direction for Accountants and Support Team Staff. - Performs other job-related duties, as assigned. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. - Minimal 2 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting is required. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, including demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel. - Experience in Salesforce and NetSuite is strongly preferred. - Working knowledge of nonprofit organizations strongly preferred.
