Business Systems Analyst Intern

• Support efforts to support projects on financial systems roadmap • Work with Finance and IT/Product teams to review and understand business needs and recommend process improvement and financial systems solutions to address these needs. • Work with the business users to appropriately justify the need for IT enhancements or new applications that will increase productivity, improve the financial functions and achieve the goals of the Finance department as it relates to system capabilities and cost • Champion financial digital initiatives to improve and enhance effective and efficient systems and processes. • Partner with the Accounting, Finance, and Procurement functions and the IT function to lead key improvements for the financial, procurement, and reporting processes • Planning, process mapping, configuration/development, testing, security, training and support user acceptance testing • Evaluate project complexity, assumptions, constraints and dependencies • Develop a work-plan with BA mentor to manage own and project activities, tasks, deliverables, and schedule • Develop effective communication plan to meet project and stakeholders needs • Plan/manage requirements approval and change • Identify and communicate risks and issues that may require changes to plans or scope

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Finance or related fields
  • Looking to build skills in defining, scoping, and managing technology initiatives from a Finance and Accounting perspective
  • Interest in project management and learning more hands-on financial system implementations
  • Critical thinking skills to make assessments and provide solutions to problems
  • Deadline driven, self-motivated, and technically savvy
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
  • Superior time management skills
  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills; experience using pivot tables and formulas
  • Netsuite experience is preferred, but not required
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience/personal interest with creating advanced Python and Machine Learning Models is plus

This role supports federally regulated infrastructure projects and requires alignment with technical, regulatory, and operational requirements.
