• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as a Business Financial Manager supporting large-scale, high-impact research and development initiatives • Leverage expertise in financial management, program budgeting, and administrative coordination to help shape and execute complex, multi-year programs in science, technology, and healthcare innovation • Collaborate with program managers, scientists, engineers, and operational staff to ensure budgets are developed, tracked, and executed effectively, while maintaining compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies • Provide strategic financial insights, develop forecasts, monitor program performance, and deliver high-quality reports and presentations to support decision-making at all levels • Operate with minimal guidance, balancing multiple priorities while delivering timely, accurate, and actionable results
Job Requirements
- Experience with the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) model, such as ARPA-H, DARPA, ARPA-E, IARPA
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal government financial management, preferably in a research and development environment
- Proven ability to build, manage, and track complex program budgets and funding justifications
- Experience with grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, and other funding mechanisms
- Strong understanding of federal financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency with financial modeling tools and resource planning systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required
