Foxhole is seeking a qualified Senior System Administrator to support a government customer in a secure, mission-essential environment. This position involves managing and security IT systems, overseeing system configuration, and ensuring operational stability across a variety of systems in a cloud-based environment. You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of these systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical experience, a strong grasp on federal and DoD cybersecurity standards and compliance measures. Job Description - Provision, configure, and maintain AWS GovCloud environments (Dev/Test/ Production) in support of modernization projects - Administer and maintain Oracle and Oracle APEX applications environments, coordinating with database administrators and software developers to endure stable, high-performing infrastructure - Perform ongoing systems administration activities, to include OS patching, configuration management, and environment monitoring in accordance with customer directives, compliance and regulatory requirements - Apply and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG) controls across IL4/IL5 environments to support and sustain Authority to Operate (ATO) specifications - Coordinate with Cybersecurity teams to support continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response activities in alignment with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements - Participate in Agile/Scrum sprint ceremonies/stand-ups, contributing infrastructure and environment-related user stories, sprint tasks, and status updates - Produce and maintain technical documentation including environment configuration records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system administration runbooks in support of program deliverables - Plan and execute upgrades, installations, monitoring, and management tools, security practices, and overall support architecture - Serve as Tier II/III escalation point for complex issues, collaborating with cybersecurity, operations, and applications support teams Minimum Requirements - At least 8 years of experience in a system administration role, with at least 5+ years’ experience managing, provisioning, and monitoring cloud infrastructure - Deep knowledge of AWS, or cloud-based platforms, including experience with serverless, containerization, and virtual machines - Proficiency in automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-a-service code, such as PowerShell, Python, Bas, or Terraform - Advanced administration skills in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environment - Experience implementing security protocols and utilizing monitoring tools to ensure uptime and performance - Ability to resolve complex, high-level, multi-platform system issues - Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for configurations and procedures - Active Secret Clearance Desired Experience/Certifications - Bachelor’s (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience (10+ years) – strongly preferred but not required - Certified, CompTIA Security+ - AWS, MS, Linux based certification is a plus - Experience supporting teams in AWS environments (GovCloud a plus) - Experience supporting or participating in Product Release related activities - Knowledge and experience with automation; reducing manual activities More Information Requirements of position: Think analytically, effective verbal and written communication skills, make decisions, observe/remember details, interpret data, concentrate on tasks, adjust to change, handle stress/emotions. Job Requirements
