Producer, News Video Podcast
FOURTH FOUNDRY LTD
• Oversee end-to-end production of multiple weekly episodes on tight deadlines • Develop episode concepts, identify timely topics and angles that resonate with the audience • Book high-profile guests including politicians, journalists, operatives, and policy experts • Prepare comprehensive interview materials including briefing documents, research packets, and suggested questions • Write and edit scripts for podcast segments and occasional explainer videos • Maintain editorial consistency aligned with Tara's voice and perspective • Monitor breaking news and pivot production schedule as needed • Publish episodes to relevant platforms
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience producing news and politics video content in digital-native formats
- Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, particularly news and politics video on YouTube
- Proven ability to book guests and develop relationships with journalists, political operatives, and experts
- Exceptional scriptwriting skills with ability to write quickly under deadline
- Strong news judgment and editorial instincts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience with remote recording platforms (Riverside, Zoom, etc.)
- Obsessive news consumption and political fluency.
- Video editing experience (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar) is preferred.
- Existing network of contacts in political media and journalism is preferred.
- Experience producing interview-based content and/or explainer formats is preferred.
- Familiarity with YouTube analytics and optimization strategies is preferred.
- Experience working with independent creators or in lean production environments is preferred.

• Prepare statements and communications for unit leader and producer bonuses in accordance with employment agreement terms • Review of new acquisition employment agreements for tracking unit leader and producer bonuses • Prepare statements and communications for acquisition bonuses in accordance with asset purchase agreement terms • Review of new acquisition asset purchase agreements for tracking acquisition bonuses • Setup of employee profiles in agency management systems with default commission rates in accordance with employment agreements • Preparation of monthly journal entries related to accrued bonuses and bonus payments • Reconciliation of unit leader and producer bonus general ledger accounts • Coordination with IT and agency management system specialists to ensure producers are properly coded to accounts at prior and post conversion into World agency management systems • Provide payroll or accounts payable with payment information related to producer, unit leader, or acquisition bonuses on timely basis • Prepare monthly producer draw reconciliations and related journal entries.
