You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping students gain admission into top universities. - Guide students in creating strong, balanced college lists tailored to their interests, strengths, and goals. - Advise on academic planning, extracurricular pursuits, and summer opportunities to strengthen student profiles. - Provide strategic support in application planning, including timelines, essays, and supplemental materials. - Conduct mock interviews and prepare students for admissions conversations. - Stay up to date on admissions trends, university requirements, and best practices. - Collaborate with other internal team members to ensure student success. Qualifications - A bachelor's degree or higher from a Top U.S. university (English, Language Arts, Journalism, Creative Writing, Publishing, Anthropology, Public Policy, etc.). - Prior experience in college admissions counseling, university admissions offices, or selective high school college counseling. - Strong understanding of the U.S. college admissions process and familiarity with international admissions is a plus. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to build rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds. - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple student timelines and deadlines at once. Requirements - The ideal candidate will also possess some or all of the following: - Master's degree. - Experience tutoring high school and/or college-aged students in writing. - Editing experience, especially in positions that require heavy editing to meet organizational standards. - Experience in the college preparation service industry. - Experience instructing remotely, using tools such as Google Hangout, Google Drive, and Google Classroom. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask, balance multiple deadlines, and take responsibility for students' progress. Role Description This position is primarily REMOTE but there is potential for some physician office-based duties. Patient coordination will be telephonic. This role will provide both direct social work care management to various high-risk patient populations, as well as provide psychosocial, environmental and financial consultation to other members of the care team. Requirements - Engages patients and caregivers in developing active care planning to focus on behavioral, clinical, social and environmental concerns and needs for the patient. - Develops Plan of Care based on assessment to link patients to proper demographic resources. - Connects patients with primary care, behavioral health, respite and other community-based services. - Ensures that required data is accurate and consistently captured in the EMR. - Acts as liaison and escalates clinical care issues to the IHCI RN Care Advisor when indicated. - Communicates with nursing staff on situations that require nursing judgment. - Develops and maintains a comprehensive inventory of local community resources, improving accessibility for patients and providers. - Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer guidelines for a comprehensive understanding of which community and governmental resources are covered for their patient. - Links patients to local resources such as housing support, medication assistance, finance and insurance assistance, as well as other needed resources, as appropriate. - Evaluates the needs of the patient through psychosocial, environmental, and financial assessment to determine specific social needs, make referrals and follow-up with patients weekly, and as needed. - Assesses the patient’s knowledge of their clinical condition and provides education and self-management support based on the patient’s preferences and financial resources. - Utilizes a variety of outreach strategies to engage various patient populations. - Obtains services and serves as advocate on behalf of patients. Clinical training is completed under the supervision of an approved clinical site supervisor and a faculty supervisor, providing hands-on experience in which Counselors-in-Training (CITs) build, refine, and apply counseling skills in real client settings while integrating program competencies. - Instructors take students from Practicum through Internship I and Internship II for a total of 44 weeks. - Candidates must be available for a committed 44 weeks on either Mondays or Thursdays for a weekly zoom call from 4:00 - 5:30 pm AZ time. Qualifications - Doctorate degree in Counselor Education. - Independent licensure in counseling or a closely related field (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LCPC, or equivalent). - OR Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related counseling degree AND 5 years work experience as an Independent Licensed Counselor. - Relevant training for in-person and/or distance counseling supervision. - Relevant training in the technology utilized for supervision. - Maintain an active membership in a recognized counseling association. - Show evidence of experience in one or more of the following areas: counseling advocacy; research or other scholarly work; at least two years of clinical practice; or counselor education.
