Sales Engineer – Trimble Construction One

• Support the Trimble Construction One sales team through engaging, consultative sales presentations and complex software demonstrations. • Lead discovery conversations to identify customer business challenges and recommend best-fit software solutions aligned to customer workflows and outcomes. • Demonstrate deep expertise in construction accounting, operations, and project management workflows to solve critical business issues. • Translate customer needs into clear, compelling success factors that validate proposed solutions. • Deliver complex, client-specific, cross-application prototype demonstrations across the TC1 ecosystem. • Assist with developing and implementing demonstration and deployment strategies across all product lines. • Provide trusted consulting expertise when engaging executive stakeholders, including CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, and Estimating Leadership. • Apply construction industry knowledge to address customer pain points, facilitate solution alignment, and support deal progression. • Partner closely with the Trimble Construction One Product team to document process gaps, product limitations, reporting requirements, and potential workarounds or solutions. • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Trimble Construction One product suite and related industry solutions. • Contribute to and maintain internal knowledge bases, demo environments, and sales enablement tools. • Help curate and update the master software presentation library to ensure consistency, accuracy, and relevance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MIS, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Significant experience in software implementation consulting, pre-sales solution engineering, or enterprise software support.
- Extensive knowledge of Spectrum or comparable construction ERP solutions (e.g., Vista, Sage 100/300, Foundation, ComputerEase, Jonas, Acumatica).
- Deep experience within the construction industry, including familiarity with common document and data workflows.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to qualify for a U.S. passport.
- Ability to qualify for a company credit card or maintain a personal credit card with sufficient limits for travel expenses.

We are seeking a technical and commercial leader to push our Sales Engineering function forward. This strategic role is the primary technical bridge between our clients (utilities, RTOs/ISOs, renewable energy developers, and data center operators) and our internal software development teams. You will be responsible for demonstrating the technical and business value of our software and automation tools, driving the sales process alongside our business development team, and translating critical market feedback into our product innovation pipeline. Reporting to sales and executive leadership, the Principal Power Systems Sales Engineering is responsible for all technical aspects of the pre-sales process. This is a "player-coach" opportunity to establish and grow a team that functions as the technical powerhouse for our sales efforts. The ideal candidate combines deep power systems expertise with strong commercial acumen and a passion for technology. You will be responsible for a deep partnership with business development, technical discovery and solution scoping, compelling product demonstrations, proposal development, and directly informing the company's software product strategy by serving as the "voice of the customer."
