What you’ll do: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Sr. Business Solutions Architect to join the NinjaTrader Business Solutions team. This role will be primarily focused on building, maintaining, and troubleshooting integrations & automations across a broad set of platforms that support our customers, marketing tech stacks and internal operations. Over time, this role may expand to include employee management responsibilities as the team grows, though the immediate focus is hands-on technical execution. In this role, you will take ownership of the day-to-day technical execution to support priority projects including the design, implementation and optimization of integrated solutions across Salesforce, marketing platforms, data systems, and automation tools. Your work will directly enable the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our Business Solutions technology stack. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply hands-on, thrives in technically complex environments, and takes initiative to improve systems while delivering against immediate business needs. In this role you will: - Design, build, and maintain solutions across a number of tools, with a strong emphasis on hands-on execution and delivery - Own and execute day-to-day technical work, including: - Automation development - Integrations - Data flows - Troubleshooting and production issue resolution - Implement and support integrations and workflows across tools such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Braze, BigQuery, Hightouch,, SendGrid, Zapier, as well as internal systems - Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines to support operational and marketing use cases - Build and troubleshoot API-based integrations using tools such as Postman, REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms - Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Support, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable, scalable solutions - Lead technical delivery for projects, serving as the primary technical owner from implementation through support - Proactively identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities in existing systems, and recommend practical, incremental enhancements - Support and improve deployment and release processes using tools such as GitHub, Gearset, and CI/CD best practices - Work within Jira Core, Jira Product Discovery, and project management tools (e.g., Monday) to track work, prioritize tasks, and communicate progress - Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, automation, analysis, and solution development where appropriate - Produce clear, maintainable documentation to support knowledge sharing, onboarding, and long-term system maintainability - Support the growth and development of team members over time through technical guidance and knowledge sharing as needed What you’ll need: - 5-10 years experience working in technical, systems-focused roles, with a strong track record of hands-on execution and ownership - Strong experience with Salesforce, including platform configuration, automation, integrations, and troubleshooting in a production environment - Working knowledge of Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms, including data structures, journeys, and integrations - Experience working across a broad technical stack, with familiarity in several of the following (expertise in all is not required): - Salesforce - Marketing Cloud (HTML/CSS knowledge) - Braze - BigQuery - SQL - Hightouch - SendGrid - Zapier - Jira (Core and Product Discovery) - GitHub - Gearset - Postman - Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, data synchronization, and system-to-system communication - Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills, with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues - Comfort working in environments with ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving requirements - Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - A proactive mindset with a desire to identify ways to improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability Bonus points for: - Interest in mentoring, coaching, or providing technical guidance - Experience around task delegation, onboarding, or performance feedback - Capability to lead projects or workstreams that involved coordinating work across multiple contributors Compensation: The salary range for this role will be $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 8%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%). Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401(k) plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays. Location: This role is based in Chicago, IL. *There may be remote flexibility for exceptional candidates in the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. Hybrid: For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule: in-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
