Developer Relations Engineer
Arize AI
• Build awareness of Arize’s products and our reputation as a thought leader in the space of AI evaluations and observability across every medium: social content, blog posts, videos, and more • Create a stellar onboarding experience for users of Arize by writing, expanding and polishing our product documentation • Write tutorials, cookbooks and open-source demonstration repositories that drive users quickly from introduction to value • Interact directly with our developer community at conferences, trade shows, and local meetups as well online through our community Slack and other channels • Take feedback from the community and turn it into actionable product insights that shape our open source and commercial product roadmaps • Assist our marketing team by providing source material for field marketing and SEO-focused website copy • Be the first point of contact for community members with product questions, directing them to the appropriate teams and channels • Collaborate with the Product team to prototype “spikes” for new features and product directions • Build partnerships with other companies and projects in the space to extend our reach
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering or equivalently technical dev relations role
- Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrated by public-facing documentation, blog posts and videos where possible
- Up-to-date engineering skills, ideally but not necessarily demonstrated by open-source demonstrations and cookbooks
- Working knowledge of LLM-based app development e.g. agents, RAG, orchestration frameworks. You do not need to be specifically familiar with Arize.
- A curious and self-motivated continuous learner, comfortable with the ambiguities and rapid iteration of a startup environment
- Willing to attend occasional evening and weekend events in-person either local to your location or (less frequently) within a few hours’ travel time

• Empower ML engineers and developer teams to leverage reinforcement learning • Design and build intuitive SDKs, libraries, APIs, and tooling • Partner with internal teams to refine primitives into documented modules
• Lead and grow Pinecone’s Discord: drive engagement, improve onboarding, set norms, and keep the space high-signal. • Run recurring office hours that consistently help developers unblock, learn best practices, and ship. • Support and scale community programs that create real builder outcomes (templates, challenge weeks, help channels, expert AMAs). • Own Pinecone’s SF-area community presence: local meetups, hackathons, and larger Bay Area events. • Develop event programming (themes, speaker selection, talks/workshops), run promotion and attendance growth, and ensure each event produces reusable assets and follow-on engagement. • Create and maintain hands-on technical assets (sample apps, demos, code walkthroughs) aligned to Pinecone’s core developer use cases: RAG systems and retrieval quality, Knowledge management patterns using Assistant and other incubating products, Platform/infra patterns for scale and reliability. • Publish content across Pinecone channels and external platforms, grounded in what the community is actually trying to build.
