Key Responsibilities - Software Architecture Design: Develop and maintain software architecture designs that support scalable, maintainable, and high-performance AI and interoperability solutions, ensuring that architectural decisions align with best practices and industry standards. - Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in software development practices. - Integration Architecture: Design integration patterns and frameworks that enable seamless communication between various healthcare applications, databases, and external systems, ensuring data integrity and security. - Architectural Leadership: Define and drive the architectural vision for AI and interoperability solutions within the healthcare division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and clinical objectives. - AI Strategy Development: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop a comprehensive AI strategy that leverages advanced technologies to improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient engagement. - Interoperability Framework: Design and implement interoperability frameworks that facilitate seamless data exchange between disparate healthcare systems, ensuring compliance with standards such as HL7 and FHIR API’s. - Clinical Knowledge Integration: Lead efforts to integrate clinical knowledge and best practices into AI solutions, ensuring that systems are designed to support clinical decision-making and enhance patient care. - Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical staff, and business units, to gather requirements, identify opportunities for AI and interoperability integration, and ensure stakeholder alignment. - Research and Development: Stay current with advancements in AI, interoperability standards, and healthcare technologies, evaluating their potential applications within the organization and driving innovation. - Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of AI and interoperability solutions, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement. - Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all architectural initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements, ethical guidelines, and industry standards, promoting responsible AI usage and data governance within the healthcare environment. - Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms that align with the architectural vision and support the software development of AI and interoperability solutions. - Documentation and Standards: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, architectural diagrams, and coding standards, to ensure clarity and consistency across development teams. - Collaboration with DevOps: Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and ensure that deployment processes are efficient and reliable, facilitating rapid iteration and delivery of software solutions. - Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with architectural decisions and software implementations, developing mitigation strategies to address these risks proactively. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; Master’s degree or PhD preferred. - Experience: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on software engineering, AI and interoperability. - Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing AI an interoperability solutions in a healthcare setting. - - AI/ML Proficiency: - Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) as they apply to healthcare data. - Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques specific to healthcare applications. - Interoperability Standards: - In-depth knowledge of interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and healthcare data exchange protocols. - Familiarity with data mapping and transformation processes to ensure compliance with interoperability standards. - Software Development Languages: - Proficiency in software development languages such as Python or Java - Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Bash) for automation and data manipulation tasks. - Web Development: - Knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) for building user interfaces that interact with AI and interoperability solutions. - Experience with RESTful APIs and web services for data exchange between applications. - Database Technologies: - Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling techniques relevant to healthcare applications. - Proficiency in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance for large datasets. - Cloud Computing: - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and their services related to AI, data storage, and deployment. - GCP ETL Technologies: - Experience with Google Cloud Dataflow for stream and batch data processing. - Proficiency in using Google Cloud Pub/Sub for real-time messaging and event-driven architectures. - Knowledge of Google Cloud Storage for data storage and management. - Familiarity with Google BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics. - Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying applications in cloud environments. - CI/CD Practices: - Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) for building, testing, and deploying applications. - Proficient in using GitHub Actions for automating workflows, including building, testing, and deploying applications. - Experience with canary deployment strategies using GitHub Actions to gradually roll out new features to a subset of users, allowing for monitoring and rollback if issues arise. - Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to manage cloud resource - - Architectural Skills: - Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and methodologies. - Leadership Skills: - Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team and drive organizational change. - Communication Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to clinical and non-technical stakeholders. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
