Virtual Legal Support Assistant
Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani
Role Description GRSM’s Virtual Legal Support Assistant (“VLS Assistant”) will work in a remote capacity and actively draft pleading shell requests received from the Firm’s brick and mortar offices via ticketing software (Fresh Works). This is a fast-paced and metric-driven environment where accuracy matters and results are measured. Extensive training is provided along with full benefits, including computer equipment. This fully remote role will be staffed in VLS’ “Document Processing” (“DP”) service line and will work evening hours. The following shifts can be filled from any US location and will include a mandatory 1-hour lunch. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role. - Opening: Monday-Friday, 12pm – 9pm ET - 11am – 8pm CT - 9am – 6pm PT Responsibilities - Draft Shell Pleadings: Answers, Discovery Responses, Captions. - Create Tables of Contents and Authorities using Best Authority. - Document Comparisons & Redlines. - Document Conversions. - Document Revisions. - Bates Numbering using Kofax. - PDF Assembly using Kofax. - Edit PowerPoint Presentations. - Edit Excel Documents. Qualifications - REQUIRED: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience drafting pleadings in a law firm setting. - Strength in MS Teams preferred; previous remote work experience preferred. - Advanced skillset using Microsoft Suite Programs (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint). - Preference given to individuals with a basic understanding of litigation workflow.
