Role Description The AI Analyst supports the organization’s artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and data-driven initiatives. This role focuses on evaluating, validating, monitoring, and operationalizing AI-enabled solutions across clinical, operational, and business functions. The AI Analyst works closely with IT leadership, data resources, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are accurate, secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives. This position does not primarily develop AI models but plays a critical role in ensuring responsible AI adoption, data quality, workflow alignment, and ongoing performance monitoring within a regulated healthcare environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Data Analysis & Integration: - Analyze, validate, and interpret clinical, operational, and financial data used in AI-enabled solutions. - Collaborate with IT and application teams to integrate structured and unstructured data from internal systems and external sources. - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity prior to AI model use, reporting, or decision support. - AI Solution Evaluation & Support: - Support the evaluation of AI, machine learning, and analytics solutions used across the organization. - Assist in reviewing model outputs, performance indicators, and trends to ensure reliability and business relevance. - Document AI use cases, assumptions, limitations, and outcomes for operational and leadership review. - Workflow & Business Alignment: - Work with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders to translate business needs into AI-related requirements. - Ensure AI-enabled solutions align with existing workflows and support operational efficiency and decision-making. - Identify opportunities where AI and analytics can improve outcomes, efficiency, or insight. - AI Governance, Compliance & Risk: - Support AI governance initiatives, including documentation, transparency, and audit readiness. - Ensure AI solutions align with healthcare regulatory, privacy, and security requirements. - Monitor AI systems for accuracy, bias, and unintended outcomes and escalate concerns as appropriate. - Monitoring, Optimization & Documentation: - Assist with post-deployment monitoring of AI-enabled solutions to ensure ongoing effectiveness. - Track trends and recommend enhancements or corrective actions as needed. - Maintain documentation related to AI systems, data sources, metrics, and governance standards. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Collaborate with IT leadership, analysts, vendors, and business stakeholders to support AI initiatives. - Provide clear communication and reporting on AI-related findings, risks, and opportunities. - Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of IT.
