Senior Director, Field CTO- Capital One Software (Remote) Ever since our first credit card customer in 1994, Capital One has recognized that technology and data can enable even large companies to be innovative and personalized. As one of the first large enterprises to go all-in on the public cloud, we built the tools the marketplace lacked to operate at scale. In 2022, we launched Capital One Software, bringing Slingshot and Databolt to the global B2B market. We are seeking a Senior Director-level Field CTO to be the face of Databolt. You are a technically elite practitioner who is equally at home deep in a codebase or center-stage at a global conference. You will bridge the gap between our innovative product team and the world's most regulated buying centers-CISOs, Chief Data Officers, and VP Data Engineers-helping them solve the "impossible" paradox: securing sensitive data (PII/PHI) without stifling AI and analytics innovation. Who You Are - The Voice of Data Security: You are a recognized thought leader with a public track record (talks, blogs, open-source contributions). You don't just explain features; you articulate the paradigm shift in data security. - Technically Lethal: You can stand up a Databolt environment, navigate a complex Snowflake/Databricks architecture, and debate the merits of vault-less tokenization vs. traditional encryption with a security architect. - Strategic Evangelist: You understand that winning in cybersecurity requires a robust channel ecosystem . You will partner with elite VARs and GSIs to educate their technical leaders and ensure they are ardent advocates of our technology. What You'll Do - Keynote & Content: Be the premier technical voice for Databolt at major industry events (e.g., AWS re:Invent, Snowflake Summit, RSA). Create high-signal technical content, from white papers to architectural deep-dives. - Executive Advisory: Serve as a "Field CTO" for our most strategic Global 2000 prospects, helping them build business cases that align risk reduction with business enablement. - Channel Enablement: Work closely with our Channel Chief to educate technical teams at partners like Optiv, GuidePoint, and WWT. You will ensure their architects can credibly deploy and support our "0 to 1" solutions. - Product Feedback Loop: Funnel technical insights from the field directly back to Product and Engineering to ensure our roadmap stays ahead of evolving compliance and AI needs. How You'll Make an Impact Y ou will define the market's technical perception of Databolt. Success is measured by the growth of our technical community, our presence in industry-leading security conversations, and the speed at which our channel partners can independently implement our solution for the world's largest enterprises.
