Holon Health

At Holon Health, we’re not just tweaking the system—we’re rebuilding it for the people it’s failed. We provide whole-person care to justice-involved individuals living with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)—care that meets people where they are, sees their full humanity, and builds pathways to long-term recovery, not short-term fixes. Everything we do is designed to deviate from the status quo—from the way we treat our clients to the way we care for our team. We know that meaningful work can’t happen without flexibility, trust, and self-care, so we lead with a culture of compassion, inclusion, and respect. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is the foundation of everything we do. We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences, and we believe our team is stronger when it reflects the communities we serve.

Recovery Coach - New Mexico

Holon Health

Description Be Part of Something Radically Different At Holon Health, we don’t do “business as usual.” We’re a trailblazing healthcare startup reimagining what it means to care—for our clients and our people. We provide whole-person care to justice-involved individuals living with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)—and we do it with deep compassion, community wisdom, and an unshakable belief in second chances. Our approach throws out the playbook. We integrate medical, behavioral, and social care. We prioritize prevention and recovery. We treat clients like people, not checkboxes. And just as importantly, we know that our team can only care for others if they’re cared for themselves. That’s why we lead with flexibility, trust, and a culture built on well-being, inclusion, and respect. If you’re energized by meaningful work and want to feel good about how you spend your days, read on. Position Summary We’re looking for a mission-aligned Recovery Coach to bring the power of lived experience to the center of our care model. As a certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS), you’ll support justice-involved individuals on their recovery journey—offering encouragement, building trust, and helping them navigate the barriers that stand between them and lasting wellness. Your lived experience with recovery will be a powerful asset in building authentic, hope-filled relationships with clients who may be navigating complex health, behavioral, and social challenges. Schedule & Location This is a full-time, remote position, Monday through Friday. Some evening availability may be needed to accommodate client needs across time zones. What You'll Do - Build trusting, nonjudgmental relationships with clients based on shared lived experience - Use personal recovery experience to offer hope, motivation, and accountability - Collaborate with participants and the Holon care team to develop personalized recovery plans - Connect clients to community resources (e.g., housing, healthcare, employment, transportation) - Conduct strengths-based assessments to identify client needs and goals - Advocate for clients within the justice system, care system, and other relevant environments - Partner with Care Navigators, clinicians, and judicial points of contact for integrated care - Stay informed on best practices in peer support and recovery-based care - Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards - Contribute to new initiatives and engagement strategies as assigned Requirements What You Bring to the Table - A person in sustained recovery with at least one year of lived experience (strongly preferred) - Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery Coach - Deeply empathetic, with strong listening and communication skills - Knowledgeable about the realities of recovery and the barriers clients may face - Committed to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards - Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, team-based environment - Aligned with Holon’s values of equity, inclusion, and whole-person care Education & Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred - Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach or PRS in the state of New Mexico (national certification from an accredited agency like NAADAC is also accepted) - 1–2 years in a peer support role is strongly preferred - Lived experience or close connection to someone in recovery is strongly valued - Experience working with justice-involved populations is a plus The Holon Way We’re not just building a better model of care—we’re building a better workplace. That means: · Unlimited PTO (we mean it) · Remote-first culture with connection baked in · Full suite of benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability · 401(k) with company match · Space for self-care, because you can’t pour from an empty cup · Room to grow in a high-impact, mission-driven startup · A team that celebrates wins, learns from losses, and has your back Our Commitment to DE&I Diversity, equity and inclusion aren't buzzwords here: they're the foundation. We embrace the full spectrum of human experience and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. If you're passionate about our mission but don't meet every qualification, we still encourage you to apply. Ready to do work that matters, on a team that sees you? Apply now.
