Job Description

Tax Associate

Mercer Advisors

• Prepare tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts and businesses • Create quarterly estimates and projections • Responsible for timely and accurate response to tax questions, estimates, projections, and analysis with both tax and wealth management clients • Coordinate with tax support staff to ensure timely workflow practices and data integrity • Work with tax staff to respond to tax notices and initial preparation of correspondence • Stays up to date on tax law and any changes • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Working knowledge of tax preparation, preferably 1-3+ years of experience working in public accounting
  • Obtained or plan to obtain CPA or EA, a plus
  • Experience with UltraTax and Sureprep plus
  • Highly organized and tax-oriented
  • Ability to handle a large volume of activities at one time
  • Ability to communicate concepts to clients and advisors in concise and understandable fashion
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent time-management skills
