DevOps Engineer

ClearlyAgile

We are hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us support existing and new customers. If you're dedicated, ambitious and have a passion for working with the latest leading edge Cloud Native technologies, this is an excellent opportunity for you. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the developers and customers using the infrastructure you are involved with developing, and being our company’s first line of defense in protecting our entire platform against hackers and viruses. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze the company’s current technology stack and develop strategy to continuously improve application delivery - Establish milestones to measure and monitor the delivery and reliability of software as strategies are implemented - Identify manual processes during the software development lifecycle that can be automated - Develop a cloud-migration strategy for software not currently hosted in a cloud environment - Periodically review company’s infrastructure and hosting cost to identify opportunities for cost savings - Establish best practices and mentor other engineers in enterprise-level DevOps solutions - Environment: Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira, Terraform, Auth0

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Gitlab, and Terraform
  • Cloud knowledge (Google Cloud Platform preferred)
  • Experience establishing/developing continuous integration pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitLab preferred)
  • Experience establishing/developing continuous delivery pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitLab preferred)
  • Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure and re-platforming applications into a cloud environment
  • Experience developing, deploying and supporting large scale systems (.NET, Node, Go, Vue, Angular experience preferred)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Experience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
  • LOCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • This is a remote role, candidates must be located in the US
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (no subcontracts or visa sponsorship)

Education & Experience Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 5+ years working with AWS tools such as EC2, S3, EBS, Route 53, VPC, and Elastic IP. - Experience with cloud infrastructure automation and provisioning. - Scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Shell) for monitoring and automation. - Experience with structured and unstructured data and basic SQL proficiency. - Exposure to modern data and analytics architecture (big data, cloud platforms). - Familiarity with advanced analytics tools (Python, R) and data processing concepts. Preferred - Experience mentoring or leading technical team members. - Background working in DevOps, CI/CD, or full-stack engineering environments. - Prior experience designing or optimizing enterprise-level data pipelines.
